Review

"Unleashed more than earned Best Book status from me! I was captivated by this touching, yet passionate read and couldn't wait to see what would happen next. This was Ms. Lynn's first book, but I certainly hope it won't be her last." ---Whipped Cream Reviews

I am not a particularly good person at re-caping a book. But when I come across a book that I enjoyed, I try to make a note. Both this story, and Rock Me, which has some of the same people in it, were fantastic. The romance and tension that was built in each story was great, believable, and addicting. I read each book in one day, and they aren't particulary short. Both books have a bit of an emotional roller coaster...and some of the better sex scenes I have read. Not so graphic it is distracting....but really really steamy. If you like romance, love, sex, and a funny story line...these are your books.

I hadn't heard of this author before, and picked this book. What a pleasant surprise! Kelsey is the long-time best friend who is afraid that's all she'll ever be to Evan. Evan's fiancee' and Kelsey's former husband had been caught by Kelsey in her marriage bed months before. Evan invites Kelsey to go with him on his "all expenses paid, use-it or lose-it honeymoon trip to Hawaii." Evan and Kelsey both have strong feelings for each other and Hawaii is the perfect place to express them. Super hot and steamy, even though they waited 10 years for each other; the wait is all the steamier. Great cover art too.

I'm not sure how I came upon this book but wow! Such great complex characters and a really great love story (not to mention hot, steamy sex)! I can't wait for Brian's story. I highly recommend this to anyone who has ever loved a best friend or anyone who loves a happy ending!

LOL! I love the way this one ended. I was wondering if they were ever going to get around to talking about that night.

Evan is such a sweetheart. Driven, sexy, accomplished. Very good on paper. But the great thing about him is he's even better off paper ;)

I could not have imagined going through what he and Kelsey endured through their betrayal, but even years before. Having such strong feelings for one another but never having the courage to act upon them. But perhaps that was a good thing. Perhaps they needed to wait, so that they could become everything they needed to be in order to love one another the way they each deserved. Yes, I'm a sap.

This was a quick enjoyable read. Very sensual, erotic, but heartfelt.
Now that I've read all three books, I would definitely recommend this series. My fave of all these books however is book 3. Seth's story. *Sighs*

I did not realize this book was in a series so I did not read them in order. Unleashed should have been the first book with Rock Me being next, then Leave Me Breathless last. Well I read Unleashed last and thank God I did because I wouldn't have read the other two. This book had no plot. This book was about Kelsey being in love with her best friend Evan for 10 years when finally they were able to get together. All they did was have sex. She cried most of the time for reasons that I did not understand and she trembled a lot. Evan is a lawyer and he is a good upstanding guy. He spend most of his time sucking and licking Kelsey somewhere on her body though. lol. I just felt like nothing happened in this book.

Do not let his book keep you from Rock Me and especially Leave Me Breathless. They are much better than Unleashed.

Any fans of friends-to-lovers romances out there? If so, this is the book for you! I personally love this type of romance setup, because by default it avoids the immediate-lust trap that I have a strong aversion to in anything other than erotica.

Based on the cover, title, and the Goodreads Genres it's listed in, I initially thought this book fell into that category. After starting the book, I thought maybe it was romantica instead (i.e. equal parts romance and erotica), but it ended up reading much more like contemporary romance with a little bit of a naughty side. There are explicit words used that you usually don't see in CRs - and if you do, then not as frequently. Regardless, the relationship between Kelsey and Evan was definitely center stage, with a very nice bonus of great chemistry and some hotly sizzling scenes.

SUMMARY:
Kelsey and Evan have been best friends ever since they met in college ten years ago. Evan was your standard all-American boy: good-looking, an athlete, smart with good grades, and kind of a player in the serial monogamist sense of the term. Kelsey was the smart sweetheart: everyone's friend and on the inexperienced and prudish side sexually-speaking. She's been in love with Evan ever since their friendship first began, but the time never seemed right to say anything and he was always paired up with a different girl. Eventually, Kelsey got swept off her feet by Evan's best friend, Todd, who showed her the attention she'd always sought from Evan.

Fast forward eight years and Kelsey is now divorced after finding Todd in their bed having sex with Courtney, Evan's (then) fiancée.

I read this after I read Rock Me. Which, I wish I had read them in the reverse order. Tis one is really sweet & I really liked Evan. He's pretty great. However, I ADORE BRIAN from Rock Me & it was pure bliss to get little glimpses of him in his life before he and Candace found their HEA. This one is a heart warmer, but not one that will stand the test of time with my book favorites. The struggle to "let go" of her ex seemed a little bit like forced conflict to me, but it didn't ruin the story. I under stand why it's there. I would recommend this as a sweet, fast paced, one sitting read you will enjoy then move on to the next.
