This book started out life as a course I wrote, not only to teach, but to help me work through my creative stumbling blocks. I found the area so fascinating, it took me three years to start physically writing the content! I was enjoying being immersed in the psychology, philosophy and practicality of what creativity is. When I began to teach it, it became a favourite. I normally work solely with writers, so to branch out and also work together with artists, gave me new inspiration and vitality in my own work. I hope you enjoy the book and that it sets you free to explore and gain great joy from your creative journey!

Cate Russell-Cole's immaculate, scholarly research capabilities are obvious in the underlying structure of her eBook, Unleashing Your Creative Spirit, but don't let that intimidate you. It's an easy read, and she weaves one example after another into an enchanting story you won't want to set aside. Her playful, lighthearted definition of creativity exemplifies the concept as she explores it. You could spend a very long time reading this book because it's packed with live links to additional fascinating resources, and her bibliography at the end would do justice to a doctoral dissertation should you want to know even more.

But she does more than intellectualize write about creativity. She encourages you to "step aside from the habits, rules and techniques you use now that may be frustrating you, and find a new way to enjoy your creative skills." She gives concrete tips on how to prime the pump, then manage the process to enhance results. She's realistic in reminding you not to become discouraged, that "success comes in small steps, sometimes they seem microscopic!"

Whether you are already, sometimes, or potentially creative, you'll find something helpful in this book.

Cate Russell-Cole is a fully qualified Social Worker, Adult Trainer and editor; with an understanding of both the psychology and technical aspects of writing and creativity. She has been researching, writing and teaching her own courses since 1990, and is a successful feature article and book Author.

She currently writes and coaches online. Cate's creativity and writing coaching has attracted thriving online communities, which Cate maintains frequently to provide both how-to resources and writer support.
