This was the book I read by Tanya Michaels It started off boring to me but it ended good. It was just a book I couldn't get into.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely delightful!, March 9, 2008
This review is from: An Unlikely Mommy (Harlequin American Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Ronnie Carter has had a crush on Jason McDeere almost from the second he moved to Joyous, TN. Jason, however, is interested in raising his toddler daughter and in fending off the onslaught of single ladies in town who insist he needs a woman. It's only when the principal at the school where Jason teaches tells him that he WILL bring a date to the school's annual spring dance, that he impulsively asks Ronnie to go with him.

Their romance takes off in high gear -- so fast that Ronnie begins to have doubts that she'll make a good mom to Jason's daughter. Ronnie's mom died when Ronnie was twelve and she's been surrounded by well-meaning, over-protective brothers. She's not sure she's really equipped to be an instant mother.

Things come to a head when Jason's ex-wife re-enters the picture. Isobel wants to spend time with her daughter and Ronnie wonders if Jason wants to get back with his ex-wife to become the family he has longed for.

With her wonderful gift for spinning a terrific yarn, Tanya Michaels has written another great book. This one isn't quite the formulaic "boy meets girl/boy and girl dance around each other/everyone ends up happily ever after" story. Tanya has inserted a great twist to the plot that kept me wondering just HOW she was going to manage to make it all work out. Trust me, it was DEFINITELY worth the read!

This is a book that I'm going to recommend to friends because it's just a great, fun read. Tanya's books have never disappointed before and she's outdone herself again. Really good, really fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Heartwarming!, September 7, 2008
This review is from: An Unlikely Mommy (Harlequin American Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Ronnie likes Jason, but can she like his daughter? After all, Ronnie knows nothing about kids. And when Jason's ex steps back into the picture, she's even more confused. Can an unlikely mommy find a place in Jason's heart...and family?

Heartwarming!
