Initially it looked like this would be a great product for our pool. It hooks up easily and feels like it is designed to properly handle use in the pool. The first issue I had was that the volume was very low for an outdoor device. We have a waterfall in the pool as well, so we could barely hear the speaker. After trying it out three times it now won't even play music consistently - the music cuts in and out - particularly if the volume is turned up. It offers three channels to connect the speaker and transmitter, but none of them make any difference.
I struggled giving the device two stars as it is basically useless to me at the moment. The fact that it is mechanically a nice setup and that I am still waiting for a response from customer service (manufacturer) pushed me to add the second star. Bottom line is that I would not recommend this product unless they sort out this transmission problem. Even then the volume issue really makes it fall short of the mark for an outside device.

I bought 4 of these in the summer of 2010. Of the four, 3 have severe leaks and the fourth has quit alogether....while the design is nice, the quality is sub-par. I do not recommend.

I Bought this Pool Pod for our hot tub. The sound is amazing and it's and inexpensive way of adding a sound system to our hot tub.

Jacuzzi i-tunes
So far so good. Works wonders having tunes in the spa. It even has a underwater light, gives the spa a nice blue glow.

Pool Pod as advertised
So far, so good. The wireless transmitting is pretty good, at least a 50-75 foot barrier. I use it for the shower, as well as my backyard spa. I am very happy with the product.

High Quality/Great Sound

Great In Hot Tub!

Do not buy!
We tried the product the other day in our pool. If the speaker unit gets to far away from the base it has lots of distortion. Plus the sound volume is very low. Read more

Stopped working after 3 times
It sounded great . . . for the first three times that I used it and now I just get a static sound (to be fair, sometimes the music cuts in and out- mixed in with the static noise). Read more
