5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT!
Reba never got any better than this except for "Have I Got a Deal For You". This is better than most anything she ever did on the MCA label and it is true that her talent is unlimited!! "I'M Not That Lonely Yet" is worth the price of the CD alone but all of it is excellent!

3.0 out of 5 stars Reba finally scores a #1
This collection contains Reba's very first #1 hit, "Can't Even Get the Blues." Other highlights include "I'm Not that Lonely Yet," "Everything I'll Ever Own," and "What Do You Know About Heartache." For the most part, this is a good album, and actually one of the best of Reba's early works. It shows her growth and experience...

5.0 out of 5 stars I AGREE, HER FINEST MERCURY PROJECT!!!, September 18, 2005

If you only get one of Reba's mercury CDs, get this one!! There is not one song on here that wouldn't have made it to the top ten at least! IMO McEntire is at her very, very best here. This is one of my favorite Reba albums along with "Behind the Scene", and "Have I Got a Deal for You" and "For My Broken Heart"!

5.0 out of 5 stars Unlimited talent clear on this album, February 20, 2004
This review is from: Unlimited (Audio CD)
One of Reba's best Mercury albums, this yielded her first two number one country hits, Can't even get the blues no more and You're the first time I've thought about leaving. These are the last two songs but the eight ahead of them are of a universally high quality.

The set begins with a series of excellent love songs -I'd say you, Everything I'll ever need, What do you know about heartache and Out of the blue. The tempo picks up on Over under and around.

Perhaps the best song here is I'm not that lonely yet, a superb ballad that bluegrass singer Rhonda Vincent covered for her album, Timeless and true love. Reba shows that she can also do great covers with her excellent renditions of Whoever's watching (Gary Morris) and Old man river I've come to talk again (Mel McDaniel). Both Gary and Mel are among my favorite country singers of the eighties, but Reba's versions of these songs are just as good as the originals.

I can understand why many think this is Reba's best original Mercury album. For me, it's a hard choice to make, as I love them all, though I'd probably choose Feel the fire if I were forced to choose. If you don't have any of Reba's early music, the double-CD Oklahoma girl is the best collection to have, but all her early albums are worth listening to - if you can find them.

5.0 out of 5 stars LIMITLESS TALENT, December 7, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Unlimited (Audio CD)
Probably the reason they titled this album "Unlimited" is because there is great versatility in this album. No song sounds alike and this is a great thing. This is the best album of her Mercury years and the prize of the pack is her top three hit "I'm Not that Lonely Yet"...still packs a wallop after all these years. Just a beautiful song. Equally fantastic is "Out of the Blue" with that haunting Piano...and "Everything I'll Ever Own". "I'd Say You" is wonderful and "Whoever's Watchin'" shows how Reba can outdo herself on an uptempo tune. I'll put this excellent effort up against anything she has released in the past ten years which has been disappointing. With this Reba does prove herself a 'limitless' talent.

I to agree that this a great cd! I like every song and never get tired of listening to it. Had mine since 1994 and got it for 15 bucks! It is a true treasure in my Reba cd collection. Reba is a good hard working woman and mother. She RULES!!

4.0 out of 5 stars 5 Great, 2 Good, and 3 Mediocre Songs, November 16, 2010
This review is from: Unlimited (Audio CD)
I was really crazy about the album track, "Everything I'll Ever Own" when this came out and the two waltz singles ("First Time I've Thought About Leaving" and "I'm Not That Lonely Yet." "I'd Say You" and "What Do You Know About Heartache" grew on me and I really like them now, but I've grown less fond of "Can't Even Get the Blues" over the years, (though I really like the songwriters Rick and Janis Carnes own country records from this period). "Whoever's Watchin'" teeters in that ground between bluegrass and Southern rock that was gaining ground in the early 80s, and while it's fun for a fast polka, it's not listening music for me (and I'm too old and fat to dance that fast anymore).

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!!, September 27, 2005

Rare is the album that I can find in which every song is a winner. This is the case with "Unlimited". Reba truly is unlimmited here in this album and the songs are so beautiful and touching as only she could sing them. Give this one twenty stars and throw all of her nineties albums (except for "For My Broken Heart) in the garbage. They could never measure up to "Unlimited".

5.0 out of 5 stars REBA'S FINEST HOUR AT MERCURY!!!, September 18, 2005
This review is from: Unlimited (Audio CD)
What an album!!! Starting off with "I'd Say You" a beautiful ballas. THen comes "Everything I'll Ever Own" which is simply Reba at the top of her vocal prowess. THen comes the uptempo "What do You Know About Heartache" which is fantastic. Then the hauntingly lovely "Out of the Blue" with someone doing a bang up job on the piano!! Oh its gorgeous!! Then its "Over, Under and Around" which fits Reba's uptempo style just fine. THen comes the crown jewel of the album, "I'm Not that Lonely Yet"....stunning!! We follow that with "Whoever's Watchin'" with Reba doing a great yeehaw at the end of this bluegrass tinged humdinger of a number! Next is "Old Man River I've COme to Talk Again" which is achingly beautiful!! Then we have "You're the First Time I've Thought ABout Leaving" with some fiddle work and Reba's second number one single. Then we close it out with "Can't Even Get the Blues" a great rockabilly tune which turned out to be Reba's first number one single. This is a classic that cannot be missed!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars SIMPLY SUPERB!!, September 14, 2005
This review is from: Unlimited (Audio CD)
Reba doesn't give herself enough credit for being on Mercury. Jerry Kennedy, the producer outdid himself on this one!! Again, every cut is a priceless jewel, my favorite being "Out of the Blue" with that haunting piano lick!! But I also single out "I'm Not that Lonely Yet" simply the best waltz ballad Reba has ever recorded!!! I remember when that song first came out my mother, who was very hard to please when it came to country music, told me to rush right out and buy it!! I could only find it on the album and while my mother didn't care for a lot of the songs on the rest of the album, I certainly did consider it to be the finest effort she ever released on Mercury. Get this one folks....you will NOT BE disappointed!!!
