Easy Operation

To switch on the speaker, press the power button located on the front panel of the speaker. A blue power LED on the speaker illuminates. To listen to a desired audio source through the speaker, switch on the audio device that the transmitter base is connected to. The blue LED on the transmitter illuminates steadily. Depending on location, select channel 1 or 2 on the transmitter base for optimal performance. To locate the strongest operating frequency, press the auto tune button located on the front speaker panel. When the auto tune function is engaged, frequency scanning begins automatically and stops when a signal is detected. You should experience interference-free speaker reception during normal room to room operation. If interference or poor signal reception occurs, press the auto tune button located on the speaker once (the blue LED indicator illuminates) to locate the strongest operating frequency. If peak reception remains elusive, switch the channel setting (1 or 2) on the transmitter base, then press the auto tune button on the speaker to locate the corresponding frequency The bass boost button can be used to enhance the bass sound depending on your music preferences. Turn bass/boost effect on simply by pressing the button down on the speaker, and pressing it once again to turn it off.

The basic problem is it's too low volume. The slim manual gives a couple tips--like turning up the source volume--so clearly they know there's an issue, but nothing really helps. If you want something small and easy to carry around in a pretty quiet environment, this is dandy. However, in the shower, with a not-particularly-loud vent fan on, it is unusable. Given that it is sold for the shower, that really sucks!

I emailed their tech support on their website weeks ago to see if there were more tips I could try--no reply. That's the real final straw.

These speakers are great. I use them in the shower to listen to my iPod.
It would be nice if they were a little louder.
If you really want to use them wireless, which I do, the speakers go through batteries really quick.
I would recommend investing in some rechargeable batteries.

We bought this for our son who likes to listen to music in the shower. We were tired of him leaving his portable speakers on the cabinet. This was great because it hangs right in the shower and the volume is plenty loud when it is pointed right at you.

We bought rechargeable batteries for it to save on battery costs. My only comment to be aware of is that it uses 6 batteries. That is an odd number and our charger only holds 4 at a time. The transmitter does a great job of transmitting from his room to the shower, so we just plug his transmitter into his laptop and he can then listen to his Apple iTunes while showering.
