Every relationship I have ever had in my 51 yrs is in this book. The perceived positive and negative, as a child and as an adult. Every time I read it I get new insights. Now with new understanding, insights and compassion I can strengthen and build my relationships on healthy foundations.I wish I had found this book many years ago, I wont be parted from it now. One to have and hold,enjoy and learn from. This is an amazing book! I read it only recently as I had read all of the other books which Dr Davies had written several years ago, and then realised this was the only one I had missed. It is fantastic and there is something in this for every adult on the planet. Our lives revolve around relationships, whether it is a friendship, or a romantic relationship with a partner or a parental relationship with a child. This list goes on. Yet so often these relationships go wrong. This book explains why things can go wrong and there is real insight as to how to get it right. It's one to keep on your bookshelf and re-read from time to time. This has given me real food for thought as to how keep my relationships healthy and loving with clear boundaries and a lot of respect.
