Treads the line between camp, sexy, and laugh out loud funny.,

Maybe it's just me, but I've always found something inherently homoerotic about superheroes: the muscle worship, the spandex, the sidekicks! Unmasked looks at all of these in a creative, sexy, and often hilarious way.
In Tights, the oft-pondered but unasked question of how Superheroes manage to chew the scenery without tearing their skintight costumes gets resolved. While Heroes in Waiting explores the life of second string superheroes turned sexual role-models. Jackel vs. Thresher shows the dynamic between a superhero and his foe, while Captain Chicken Hawk, The Bat and The Raven, and Hummingbird all highlight the lowly sidekick and his admiration for his partner. There's more super-sex than you can probably handle in one sitting, full of lengthy descriptions of musculature and oversized members, but there's an overall tone of self-mockery in the stories. They retain the casually ridiculous and tongue-in-cheek amusement of an actual comic book. Kosher Man and the Shegatz, for example, is the story of a Jewish he-man, whose only weakness is that no food that is not Kosher can pass through his lips. Or A Dirty Job, which follows formerly popular heroes and their plot to put the new star on the scene out of business so they can return to their former glory. As with most anthologies, not all of the stories stand out, but the winners definitely outnumber the ho-hum tales, so I can't recommend this highly enough.

I had such a fun time reading these stories. I think there is great talent in those who can combine erotica and humor: most of these authors succeed with style. C'mon, you never had fantasies about men in spandex? Or wondered if the stories of Robin needing to wear two jocks were true? Give in to the fantasy - and you will be swooping over a much friendlier Metropolis!

Who Knew Superheroes Could Be So Much Fun,
By Milton Stern "History Fanatic" (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews

I thoroughly enjoyed Unmasked: Erotic Tales of Gay Superheroes, another anthology from Eric Summers. Not only is this book hot and sexy, but also filled with humor. The fact that the various contributors used humor and funny situations made this book all the more titilating, tantalizing and erotic. Great job, Mr. Summers. Eric Summers seems to be able to corral the best erotic authors in the business for his anthologies.

While plenty entertaining for a guilty pleasure, it is more of a read for a superhero idolater as opposed to someone looking for some hot action between hot guys in hot costumes with special powers.

I can't believe they sold this on Amazon. The quality of writing is horrible - laughable even. This reads like a collection of poorly written porn stories collected from the Internet and sold as a "book."
Don't waste your money - it sounds really fun, but this book is a HUGE disappointment. EVEN if you're in the mood for erotica.

I had added this book to my birthday wish list as a joke, and naturally someone had taken the time to buy it for me. I'm no stranger to erotica, although it's not something I dedicate a whole lot of time to. This however, was highly disappointing. The book felt like the efforts of one guy to slap a book together and see how much it would sell. So he just hastily gathered a bunch of stories together and put them in one book. That's about it. The writing is pretty basic - characters lack any true sense of identity. The dialog is more on the side of kitsch than camp. And even the involvement of their being superhuman was handled poorly and did not provide any real value to the stories. One or two might have been decent but the rest were a struggle to read and get through. Save your money - you're better off looking for free erotica on the web, much of which tends to be a lot better written (and a lot hotter) than this.

This book has some fairly well written stories and others where I was wanting more action and less baggage. The idea of exploring a weakness that gives pleasure was a surprise turn on. I was looking for more interaction between the hero and the victim. Superman always gets Lois Lane in the end but in most of these stories, the heroes end up with each other or a sidekick. It has always been a fantasy to be rescued by a superhero who ultimately befriends me as a permanent protector and ultimate life partner,(similar to what I actually have in my life partner). Someone who I can aid in his heroic escapades. Still this book is worth the investment in money and time.

I loved this book. It was hot, it was hilarious, it was well written and it even gave me some ideas, LOL. This book is a compilation of different short stories written by different authors all about Gay SuperHeroes. I cant figure out which I liked best, the hottest was the one about the "gifted young man" who became a pornstar... I wont spoil it for you, but it is worth buying the book and reading it. Fantastic Book. Does anyone know who the HOTHOUSE Model is on the cover of the book? It looks like Trevor Knight, but Im not sure.

This was unreadable, from front to back. Save your money. Simplistic writing across the board - really trite characters, just... junk. Save your money.
