Unmasking the maverick prince, July 28, 2005
This review is from: Unmasking The Maverick Prince: The Royal Wager (Silhouette Desire) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a great reading if you love romance and passion. This book is definitely for you.
Synopsis Front back cover:
Her assignment was to interview millionaire Mitch Warner, the Maverick Prince of Oklahoma, not to sleep with him! But the confirmed bachelor soon had Tori Barnett entering into a scorching affair that hadn't been part of her agenda. Nor had she counted on the unexpected result of their union....
When Mitch made a bet that he wouldn't marry for ten years, he hadn't counted on meeting someone like Tori. The brown-eyed beauty had branded him with her white-hot kisses and had him contemplating commitment. Yet he could tell she was keeping secrets, and the man who had been burned too many times wondered if giving his heart to Tori meant the world learning of his every desire.
The story has romance, passion and humor; I definitely recomend this one as part of the royal wager
Have fun reading!

I like Kristi Gold. She is a terrific writer.
She makes her stories very emotional and heartwarming.
This is one of the books in the Royal Wager series. I had read the other two and this one was the only one I was missing. I loved it!

it's a quick,cute read...but..., February 20, 2005
This review is from: Unmasking The Maverick Prince: The Royal Wager (Silhouette Desire) (Mass Market Paperback)
I don't like to see immediate sex in my romance reading.
Mitch Warner is the millionaire son of a U.S. Senator. He's also a solidly confirmed bachelor that is dead set against marriage. What's more, he values his privacy and refuses to deal with nosy reporters. He's just not prepared to deal with Tori Barnett, a free-lance writer that's out to get Mitch's story for the editor of a magazine company where Tori works.
Tori's return to her hometown isn't just for doing a story on Mitch. She's actually there to be a bride's maid for her best friend's wedding. She meets up with Mitch, a rancher, in the bar where she's having a few drinks with the wedding party. Being smitten by her good looks and physically attracted, Mitch asks her dance and they end up dancing the night away. But before the night comes to an end, they're also getting it on under a blanket in the bed of Mitch's pickup truck, hot and heavy.
Tori realizes that she's not exactly the type of woman a man wants to take home and present to his family as his future bride. But once he's finally bitten by the love bug, Mitch doesn't really care about Tori's past. His main concern is their future.
This story moved along a little too quickly in the sex area for me, but it's not a bad read.
