5.0 out of 5 stars A Magnificent Read
Unnatural Acts is about a woman living in the Big Apple who becomes a Dominatrix. She shares her thoughts on various subjects and situations which, with her witty dialogue, almost had me in tears as I laughed in agreement. I highly recommend Unnatural Acts to anyone who has ever wondered what it's like to be a Professional Dominatrix.

1.0 out of 5 stars pictureless comic book
very one dementional. Bitter in tone and repeditive. I thought it lacked insight and didnt even have any spicy content. Too restrained at some points and gushing with spite and hatered for men that just fell hallow too often. Some humor could really do this book justice, however for me this author just fell short.Often overly simple, dealing heavy subject matter. Falls flat

5.0 out of 5 stars Not your average feminist viewpoint, January 14, 2008
This review is from: Unnatural Acts (Hardcover)
I really enjoyed this book. Well written and never dull. It's about a woman who lives life on her own terms. Not politically correct, if you are the judgmental type, this book will go over your head.

1.0 out of 5 stars Shellogg displays shallow, stereotypical view of men, January 24, 2002
This review is from: Unnatural Acts (Hardcover)
This book was essentially a review of men's flaws from a flawed woman, a speed freak who dominated men as a career. She writes about her experiences with such disdain that I began wondering if she would turn out to be a lesbian at the end of it all.

She didn't. There wasn't enough sex in this book to make it a steamy erotica book, and there wasn't enough insight to make it a good philosophy or feminist book. It doesn't fit well into any genre except that of the tawdry Danielle Steele-style pseudo novel.

Female dominants are going to love this book, perhaps only because it fits into their stereotypical view of what a "real" man is, though. These are women who need to have their men always be men and no in-between...the type of girls who read Cinderella too much as children.

"Unnatural Acts" displays a woman who was not searching out her Prince Charming so much as she was beating up the town midget/alcoholic in lieu of discovering herself.

It's the worst trash I've read in a while.
