I wandered into the world of La Ley by accident-flipping through my digital cable channels I ended up on MTV-S and saw the video for "Siempre" off the "Crazy/Beautiful" sndtk. All I could think was "wow"! Bought that disc and I havent looked back. I speak minimal spanish at best, it doesnt matter. This band totally rules. You couldnt ask for a better disc (unless its La Ley Unplugged!"

Let me start off by saying that "Uno" won the grammy for best latin rock album of 2000, so really how bad can it be? I think that the album shows how much the band has evolved and it demonstrates their HUGE range in music going from their earlier stuff like new wave/ punkish to electronics to straight out classic/soft rock mixed with pop elements in their most recent release, "Uno". I swear that Beto Cuevas has to have the most passionate voice in rock today, with an amazing range. The drumer Mauricio is one of the best in the game and guitarist Pedro is amazing! The whole album is arranged in an excellent way and I really don't know how La Ley can get any better than this (but I KNOW they will!) I look forward to their future albums and I highly recommend La Ley's "Uno" to any one who is just being introduced to rock en espanol or any one who just wants to listen to great music!

THE VOCALS OF BETO CUEVAS ARE LIKE NO OTHER SO- ANYTHING THAT HE SINGS SOUNDS BEAUTIFUL. THIS ALBUM YOU HAVE "FUERA DE MI" WHICH IS ONE OF THE BEST SONGS ON THIS ALBUM. YOU HEAR THE INTENSITY OF HIS VOICE ON THIS SONG AND YOU CAN'T HELP, BUT TO FALL IN LOVE WITH HIS VOICE. FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT HARD UP ON WHAT THEY SOUNDED LIKE 8 OR 10 YEARS AGO, BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN SINGING FOR YEARS -I THINK THIS A WORTH THE MONEY AND YOU WILL BECOME A FAN. THEY ARE WHAT THEY ARE NOW BECAUSE THEY HAVE GROWN AND I HOPE MORE PEOPLE START TAKING NOTICE OF THIS TALENTED BAND SO, THAT WE CAN KEEP HEARING BRILLIANT MUSIC FROM LA LEY.
