Seeking to combine their passion for books, food, and book clubs, they met over stacks of books and endless cups of coffee at a local sandwich shop, where THE BOOK CLUB COOKBOOK was born. The first cookbook for book clubs, THE BOOK CLUB COOKBOOK has become a classic guide to pairing food and literature. The revised edition of THE BOOK CLUB COOKBOOK was released in 2012.
Judy and Vicki were motivated to write their second book, THE KIDS' BOOK CLUB BOOK, after librarians, parents, and teachers who attended their talks asked for a similar book for the growing number of youth book clubs across the country.
Their third book, TABLE OF CONTENTS features book related recipes from fifty of today's most popular authors.
Judy and Vicki enjoy speaking about book clubs and appreciate their ongoing conversations, both in person and via their websites, with book and food enthusiasts across the country.

I got this for my girlfriend who is a huge fan of GIRLS on HBO (as am I, it isn’t a show just for girls) but I am waiting until Christmas to give it to her. I was a bit worried that since it is an “unofficial” book and not licensed by HBO that it wouldn’t be that great or live up to my expectations (or my girlfriends, though she isn’t even aware of this book yet so really mine are the only expectations to be met or missed at this point). But after paging through it I got a sense of how much care and time was put into this book. The page layout is great, there are great splash pages and awesome quality color pictures with no visible upscaling. I like that there are a lot of locations from the show represented here, with tons of facts and info about the locations themselves and how they are utilized within the show. Anyone who has never been to New York and wants to visit places as seen in the show GIRLS, this is a great place to start. Or anyone who has watched the show numerous times and all of the special features on Blu-Ray or DVD who is eagerly awaiting the premier of season 3 on January 12th and just can’t wait, this will be great to tide you over. FULLY APPROVED.

I am going to New York soon and since I love the show "Girls," I thought it would be a fun read. Well, it was. It gives a great snapshot of the different areas seen in the show along with the restaurants. I was excited to read about Peanut Butter & Co. and why it made its way on the show. They point out a lot of the restaurants and places you see on the show and give a sense of what the neighborhoods are like. They also explain the hipster culture which is very interesting. I can't wait to go to New York and see it with the help of this lil gem!
