I enjoyed the details in this book. I would suggest buying The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2011 first before buying The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids 2011. I think this one goes into great detail about traveling with kids, but you seem to miss some of the bigger details about Disney World that you would get in the larger edition. It is a great book that would be even better is purchased together with the original.

I've been to Disney World 3 times so I've got some experience in the parks. I am currently planning a trip for my family and wanted to see what a guidebook would have to say. I can already tell that the information in this book is invaluable. The tips you get for vacation planning are not limited to hotel and restaurant recommendations and touring plans. They even get into some child psychology and preventative family counseling! This book is anything but dry and boring and is loaded with lots of necessary information for people who want to truly enjoy their time in "The World". I think everyone will enjoy this guide, even if you are not an avid planner/Type A personality.

Okay, I went a little crazy when we decided to go to Disney World for the second time in 5 years, and I ordered several guide books; however, I really only needed this one! Really! It has everything covered from adventure ratings for different age groups to favorite snacks. Also, the website that accompanies the book is so awesome, and you can get a discount for that if you buy the book. Oh, and there are touring plans in the back for different families with varying kids' age groups complete with maps for people who don't want to get on the website. Sweet!

I purchased this book after reading an older Unofficial Guide to Disney World. I am planning a trip with my two children and thought it would be great to read the kids point of view in this book. First, you should know, there are only 4 children's opinions represented in the book, one is the author's son. There were not as many comments from the kids as I would have liked. Most of the info is the authors point of view. Some of the children's comments inserted were not helpful at all. Such as the fact that the 17 year old could not get into an over 18 club on the Cruise ship, even though his date was 20. Really? Is anyone surprised by that? I suppose it was put there to make you feel comfortable that Disney is doing a good job at checking ages. Also, 3 of the "children" are teenagers, with two as old as 17 and 19. The youngest is 10. Her comments were the most helpful for me. What I did appreciate was the detail of the rides and what might frighten children. Although mine are not easily frightened, it was helpful to know what to expect. I would suggest skipping this one and going straight to the Unofficial Guide, it contains all the same info and more for about the same price.

My family just took our first trip to Disney World, and this book was an invaluable resource for us. From show times to fast passes, this book has everything that the Disney traveler will need to know. My wife started using this book about six months before our trip, and by the time we left, it was loaded with post-it notes, dog-eared pages, and highlights.

Everything the first-time Disney visitor could want to know is in this book. We got great tips on dining, hotels, attractions, and other things to expect, such as wait times for the best rides. Helpful maps are included as well as recommendations on how to spend your time at each of the Disney parks.

I give this great book my highest recommendation. We couldn't have survived Disney without it!

This book is great for planning a trip to Disney. I have made several trips with no guide and now realize I have been missing a lot of things. I think we will be a lot more prepared for this trip.

This book was such a great resource to have when taking kids on thier first trip to Disney. It really helps you to remember all the rides (we had not been there for over ten years) and what they are like for kids of different ages. It also gives you great websites to look at, and reviews for the restaurants and hotels. It was a great investment!

Very good book, easy to read and follow. I was very overwhelmed when thinking of Disney World and this book has been very helpful and has eased my anxiety over it.

I have used this series ("Unofficial Guide") before and love the layout. I am planning a trip to Disney World in June and this book has been instrumental. Whether all of the suggestions once we are actually on vacation will work is to be determined. This book covers everything regarding preparing for a trip to Disney World with children - including physically and mentally preparing yourself & your children for the trip. I am confident the tips will work once we are on vacation and am excited to take the book with me eveywhere we go in Disney!

A great guide to the World. Traveling to Disney with another family and needed a guide that would give info for traveling with kids, touring plans, ride ratings, and more. This book fit the bill perfectly!
