About the Author Mitch Kaplan has been covering adventure and family travel for more than ten years, with a special interest in skiing. Kaplan has written 52 New Jersey Weekends and 535 Wonderful Things to Do This Weekend. His work has appeared in Skiing, Snow Country, Family Circle, Westways, Endless Vacation, LA Style, and Continental Airlines magazines. Kaplan lives in suburban northern New Jersey with his non-skiing/non-golfing wife Penny, two college-age children who won't leave the nest, and a beautiful mutt named Callie.
