About the Artist

Formed in NYC in 1972, Kiss has become more than just a rock band, but an institution to hordes of fans throughout the world. Since their debut release, simply titled "Kiss", the band has sold over 70,000,000 albums. Until the early '80’s, Kiss was unstoppable, with two huge-selling Marvel Comics, a network TV movie and four simultaneously-released solo albums under their studded belts. In 1983, the band stripped away the makeup and celebrated renewed interest. In 1996, the original band reformed (made up?), and took their full costume-makeup-pyro 1976 show on the road--for a year-long stint--resulting in one of the most successful rock tours ever. Conjecture that the band wanted to quit on a high note has remained unproven; anything could happen in Kiss' future.

This album has a lot of great recordings.There is a good amount of talented bands here. The cd inlay was very well put together,showing pictures of the bands and all of their info. All together,I was happy with the purchase of this album,I enjoy listening to it often. As with most any albums however, there were a couple of tracks that I didn't like at all.Overall, i was pleased with this product.

Having grown up with kiss in the makup era, I didn't recognize most of the tracks until I heard them. After a once through I new almost every song and really enjoyed hearing bands from all around the world playing tracks like WHO WANTS TO BE LONELY, TEARS ARE FALLING and my favorite, MASTER AND SLAVE from Finland's DEAR VICTIMS. All in all this CD rocks with only a few tracks falling short of my high expectations.
