Ed Margulies' book offers readers an excellent overview of next generation telephony products, or unPBX systems as he likes to call them. This is a good place to go if you're interested in learning more about this exciting new technology. My only criticism is that the technology is evolving so rapidly that the book is somewhat dated in its discussion of specific products since new products are being released every month. However, that doesn't diminish its value as an introductory book for people who are new to telephony.
