This is the best show that MTV Unplugged ever had. Bryan Adams shows what a great musician he is by his and the artists he surrounds himself with performance. It is very obvious how much he love music. Thank goodness they put this on cd. Now if they would just put out a DVD!!! The visual performance and quality of recording is gorgeous. Very rich sound."Back to you" is a shining star on this cd.

Not a Bryan Adams fan....but...,
This review is from: Unplugged (Audio CD)
I enjoy high end home audio, so while auditioning a set of $20k+ speakers the owner of the store popped in this CD. I'm super familiar with Adams and have heard him on great systems in the past, BUT this particular CD has some exceptional tracks in terms of separation, imaging and soundstage that are extremely uncommon on live recordings.
Even though I'm not a big fan of Brian Adams this cd has some "high end" qualities that I couldn't pass up, I had to buy it! One of the best recordings of "Heaven" that I've heard.

I've been his fan for more than twenty years. After I went to his concert, I bought this album because his concert was excellent and perfect. His live sound was even better than his CD. This CD nearly inspires his concert. If you were his fan, you must buy this one. Never disappointed.

Bryan Adams , the phenominal force of Rock/Pop Genre since early 80's , is till date one of my favorite entertainers in the world of music. Yes , the most low profiled and soft spoken person , Bryan Adams even today can deliver a smash live performance. Which brings my attention to his album " Bryan Adams - Unplugged ". I first saw the unplugged show on MTV , and after every song i was like wow..Unplugged sounds so good..and it especially sounded good cuz the music versions were completely different , soft , giving a new and improved life to his previously hit tracks such as " summer of 69 " , " heaven " , " cuts like a knife " , " im ready " , " when you love someone " , " the only thing that looks good on me " , " lets make a night to remember " etc etc.The album has a collection of his classic hits performed live with totally new beats and instruments such as flutes and violins . It also contains a couple of uptempo tracks such as " the only thing that looks good on me " which is far more better than it's original album version. If you're looking for an album which has good beats , good music , great songs , with a spice of classical touch too. Pick this one. I Think this one so far is the best Unplugged album ever. No Other artists can beat this. Personally , as for me , i think this album is truly a masterpiece. The Best Bryan Adams Album ever. A collector's item. Let me put it in more simple terms , Its Bryan Adams . Quality rest assured ! :)

A nice, fresh acoustic session,

"Unplugged" sessions are pretty tell-tale. Mediocre songs and mediocre musicians are mercilessly revealed, but good songs work even in the most-stripped down arrangement.
Apparently Bryan Adams is a pretty good songwriter, even if his lyrics are filled with klichés. His 1984 classic "Summer Of '69" works extremely well in this setting, and stripped down versions of "Heaven" and "Cuts Like a Knife" prove that Adams is a resourceful straightahead rocker with a knack for a hook. There are five songs from Adams' then-new album here, 1996's "18 'til I Die". "Let's Make A Night To Remember" and the slightly forced "The Only Thing That Look Good On Me Is You" are significantly better in this acoustic setting, and "I Think About You" is transformed into a driving folkish rocker a la John Hiatt. "18 'til I Die" is burdened with too many strings, though, and the ballad "I'll Always Be Right There" is a little bit run-of-the-mill and a little too saccharine for my taste, but hey...it's all a question of taste. "MTV Unplugged" is also good for a few surprises, like the early "Fits Ya Good" and four new songs. The solid, melodic rockers "A Little Love" and "Back To You" are among the highlights of the album, as is the bluesy "If Ya Wanna Be Bad Ya Gotta Be Good". There are many ballads here, and I would have liked to hear a couple more up-tempo songs and less of that string orchestra. But Adams is backed by a group of very good musicians, and there are plenty of fine moments. The overall quality of the music makes "MTV Unplugged" one of his best efforts of the '90s.

For all Bryan Adams fans, this is one must have collection. This CD brings together some of the greatest songs from Adams' illustrious career together. It is a classic.
Final word: At an Adams' concert which I had the fortune of attending, he performed almost all the songs from this CD (among others).

Worth it to hear the older songs,

Although some of the tracks are from his more recent work, I still decided to buy this album because I was interested to hear the unplugged versions of "Summer of 69", "Cuts Like A Knife", "I'm Ready", "Fits Ya Good" and "Heaven". I wasn't disappointed. Each track is different enough from the originals, and sounded good enough to make buying the album worthwhile. If you're a fan of unplugged music, or you're a Bryan Adams fan who's interested to hear what his songs sound like, I would definately recommend buying MTV Unplugged.

Unplugged,

A great many of the Unplugged series albums have been hit and miss and it is a relief to hear this one from Bryan Adams ending up firmly in the hit section. He manages to rework his songs just enough to fit the acoustic format and yet they retain their original feel throughout. Tracks such as 'Summer of 69' and 'Run to You' are staggeringly good played acoustic and the upbeat 'Back to You' and 'I Think About You' never fail to get my toes tapping every time I hear them. 'When You Love Someone' has a beautiful Celtic feel to it that elevates it above the ordinary on this album as well. As far as Bryan Adams and Unplugged albums goes this one rates pretty highly and is well worth a try.
