3.0 out of 5 stars Worth a listen
This disc serves a number of purposes, all good. First of all, it's a sampler disc, giving you a taste of some music you might otherwise not hear. 3.0 out of 5 stars Worth a listen, October 1, 2005
This review is from: Unplugged Collection, Vol. 1 [LIVE] (Audio CD)
This disc serves a number of purposes, all good. First of all, it's a sampler disc, giving you a taste of some music you might otherwise not hear. Secondly, acoustic versions (and live ones, for that matter) allow other interpretations by the original artists, which you seldom hear outside the concert venue. Overall, the quality and selections are good, and I got a chance to hear Henley do a cover of "Rain or Shine", which was worth the price of the disc.

4.0 out of 5 stars Looking for this for years., October 13, 2011

I have been looking for this album for many years. I like most of the cuts, can tolerate the others, and absolutely love a few; accoustic Pride & Joy, Paul McCartney messing up (too funny), Pink Houses, and more. It makes nice cruising music for those 2AM accross the Nevada and Utah desert trips in summer. I highly recommend this one, and I'll be getting Volume II soon........Scott

Love it! Only regret is not searching for it sooner. I had it on cassette tape for years, but was unable to find it on CD. Listen to it daily, smiling every time!

Few collections can match this one. Stevie Ray Vaughn's acustic version of Pride and Joy is worth the price alone. Throw in Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz,K.D.Lang, and Elton John and this one is difficult to pass up!

This is a fun disc to throw in the stereo while you're working. Filled with some old favorites, each done with a unique twist. Enjoyable.

2.0 out of 5 stars One good track, September 29, 2005
This review is from: Unplugged Collection, Vol. 1 [LIVE] (Audio CD)
Ok - maybe two good tracks.

Stevie Ray Vaughan opens the album with a powerful voice and a 12 string accoustic. We miss you Stevie.

But for me the album is worth it for the blues version of Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lennie Kravitz.

Why not just download those tracks from iTunes.
