1.0 out of 5 stars Hypno-Exorcism for the Gullible
I was a patient of Dr. Fiore at her practice in Saratoga, CA, shortly after "Unquiet Dead" came out. I left my first session with her clutching a new copy of her new paperback, which I read from cover to cover, and a custom-tailored auto-hypnosis tape, which I applied assiduously. After a few sessions she diagnosed me as being possessed by the woebegone spirit of a...

Have you ever known someone who was so self-destructive that you couldn't imagine how he/she would choose those choices? This book provides a possible explanation.

If you have never had a paranormal experience (specifically ghosts, spirits), you may not find this credible. But, if you have had one of those odd experiences such as seeing a ghost, being touched when someone is not there, or just having that creepy feeling of someone watching you, then this book makes the next leap in those experiences.

What if that ghost/spirit liked you enough to hang out with you forever? Well, this book provides a method to get rid of entities that just "love you to death".

Dr. Fiore tells you how she handles the "Unquiet Dead" in her clinical setting.

This book is a great read and I would highly recommend that you also read the book, "Remote Depossession" by Dr. Irene Hickman.

5.0 out of 5 stars We have all noticed we are not "ourself" sometimes., September 29, 1998

This book was a godsend to me. It is both an excellent (many) case study of possession as well as a "how-to" book to dispossess oneself of resident beings. Also describes how you keep from gathering beings into yourself. Years ago I quit smoking. For over three years I tried many popular methods, without any luck. One night I realized that the smoking habit was "my best friend". So, I said good by to this friend. This is the short story, but I finally was successful. After reading The Unquiet Dead, I found out what I had done. I had purged a being from myself that kept me smoking. With this real life experience, I now have had the faith to get rid of other beings, thus making major changes in my life. I am much happier now. An EXCELLENT READ, I challenge everyone to read it!

5.0 out of 5 stars It has to start somewhere, September 3, 2005
Please take note that Dr Fiore is a pshycologist and not some kind of psychic or anything like that. She was very new to this spirit release stuff. Imagine, she puts someone into hypnosis for a session and finds herself talking not to the client but to someone else, this must have scared the s__t out of her. She was the first to write about this almost 20 years ago. Just think what her friends and associats would think. Please do not compare this work with others. They all studied her work. If you plan on doing therapy of this kind, PLEASE, PLEASE read and study as much as you can, get this book and all the others. IF YOU HAVE FEAR, DON'T DO IT!!!

This review is from: The Unquiet Dead: A Psychologist Treats Spirit Possession (Paperback)
This little paperback book should be on the shelf of every serious healer, mainstream or complementary. There are things that we all encounter that defy simple explanation, particularly when it comes to intractable issues that a person is making an honest effort to deal with but just won't go away.

While spirit attachment is not the first thing that I think of when I am working with someone, it's certainly something I am more aware of, and thanks to some advanced training, better able to deal with. I've had this book for years and have given away a couple as well.

My advice to someone who is new to these concepts and thinks they may be experiencing spirit attachment or knows someone who is would be to seek a professional who has done this work before and be evaluated, rather than attempting spirit releasement themselves. If it is an interest in doing the work, train or apprentice with someone who "knows the ropes"; it is safer for everyone involved.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unquiet Dead, August 21, 2000

This book has been an important part of my library because it gets used frequently. I have purchased a large number of them over the years and have given them to others to use for their own clearing.

I was asked to clear our community center of two spirits and several other unwanted enities and this book was the main souce of information that I used. It worked well enough that now when we have concerts and other events we are able to keep the "left over" enities at a maintainable level of lesser distrubance. I am getting ready to clear a theater and have great faith that it will be sucessful with the help of this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vary Validating, November 29, 2006

Doc Gibson "Kin to Birds" (Prescott, AZ United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Dr. Fiore has written a marvelously validating book about some of my personal experiences, and my reality during a large portion of my life. Having worked as a Paramedic for 11 years, and having been a practicing Alcoholic every minute I wasn't working. I became a sponge for all sorts of disembodied folks, and thought forms, both inside, and outside the Hospital setting.

Having done some personal work around spirit attachment, and a little soul retrieval work. I found this book to be dead on (so to speak) with my experiences. It was great to have someone validate my reality.

This is a must read for any recovering Alcoholic or Addict, as well as any medical personal that spend any amount of time around dieing patients. Thank You Dr. Fiore.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Very Good Study, June 9, 2006
This review is from: The Unquiet Dead: A Psychologist Treats Spirit Possession (Paperback)
Very good introductory book not only for the laypersons but also for the healthcare providers in medicine, psychology, and psychiatry etc. The case studies provided in the Unquiet Dead are a good sampling of what is happening in the spirit-attachment area.

However, the book exclusively focus on the benign forces and it fails to stress, or actually, totally ignores the existence of evil or malignant entities. I am in the unique position of talking about this book/subject not only from personal experiences but also from the perspective of a retired medical professional. It is high time the medical science catches up with this extremely important source of medical and psychological disorders.

I am a psychic counselor. I have done hundreds of spirit releases on people. This book explains in detail what entity attachment is really all about. A must read! Helps to understand that these are just poor discarnate souls who need help to be able to move on.

5.0 out of 5 stars I am giving copies to family members right and left., August 6, 1999
By A Customer
It's small size belies it's profound volume. It is an incredible book about lost, confused souls trapped on the physical plane. Instruction on releasing attached entities results in soul rescue and is a much needed work, both for the host and the trapped soul. I have used the technique in the book and can whole-heartedly attest to the fact that it works! It worked for me! Please do not let religious dogma keep us from spiritual truth any longer.
