Charlie Parker is asked to help Rebecca Clay protect her from Merrick, who is looking for her father - Daniel Clay - and the paedophiles Clay may have helped. The tension ramps up slowly in this one, and there is a fine denouement in a forest setting. Parker is assisted, as usual, by Angel and Louis. An enjoyable read with elements of supernatural on the fringe of events.
