Great Album. Five Stars!!!,

It seems this girl can do it all, musically speaking.
Beautiful & powerful vocals, excellent songwriting... Overall, Unraveling is a little more mainstream sounding than some of Pike's previous heavy base sound (Sister7) &/or more recent acoustic work (Live at Brushwood). Tracks include "Beautiful Thing", an upbeat radio sound tune; the title track "Unraveling", excellent.; "Rufus" is a love song with the ultimate easy-going, Sunday morning sound; "What's the Trouble" great sound with some synth groove sound mixed in.; along with several other well written great sounding tunes as expected from this amazingly talented musician. Highly recommend for any Patrice fan.

One of the best albums to come out in years!!!,

I was a fan of Sister 7 back in the late 90's and never really followed Patrice's career after that band came to an end. That was a huge mistake. I saw her over the summer on Rockstar Supernova and decided to see what she had been up to recently. (By the way, thank God she did not win that competition and get stuck in a band that is going to go nowhere. She is soooo much more talented than those guys will ever be.) I picked up her Fencing Under Fire album off of Amazon and was amazed. It's an excellent album and I highly recommend you spend the $15.00 and order it now. Last week I had the pleasure of seeing Miss Pike live in San Antonio and was literally blown away by her stage presence. She is extremely talented and can switch from a menacing roar on the heavier songs to a smoky, sultry vixen on the more bluesy tracks. I picked up the Unraveling CD at that show and I think it is her best work yet. It is a varied collection of songs that range from solid rock and roll to a kind of sexy blues. Standouts are Beautiful Thing, New Cool, Ridiculous Mess, Unraveling, and on and on. I can't say enough about this album or Patrice Pike. She is also a wonderful, caring human being and is involved in multiple charitable foundations. Pick up this album ASAP and if she is ever playing within a several hundred mile radius of wherever you call home, do whatever it takes to make it to that show. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

I have been a fan of Patrice Pike for YEARS. She is not only an extremely talented songwriter/musician, but she is also a very accomplished performer. I've had the privilege of experiencing her live performances, TV performances, and her CD's. You can NOT go wrong with any of her music, if you are a true music-lover!!!

Patrice Pike's "Unraveling" is an excellent set from this powerful singer. "Beautiful Thing" blisters out of the speakers with a roaring electric lead guitar. "Rufus" is lovely track with a strong melody in a midtempo setting, "Make love to me, be here with me." Pike points a political poker at war and our treatment of veterans on "Ridiculous Mess." "Birds hovering overhead waiting for love or for prey; Will you decide which of these I will be today?" Patrice sings on the slow track "Pressure & Heat." The CD concludes with "Temple," a pretty slow track, "Love is the lesson, now don't you fret; You are the kingdom & never forget." "Unraveling" is an impressive set from this excellent songwriter and singer. Enjoy!

I've been a fan of Patrice Pike's for years, and I have never come away from her shows disappointed or even underwhelmed. The thing about Patrice is that she unmistakably exudes the love and joy she gets from playing and sharing her music. Check out these albums from her former band, Sister 7 (previously known as Little Sister), as well as her other post-S7 releases. You will not be disappointed!
