Unreal. The title says it all.,

I believe that this may be one of the most entertaining game I have ever played.I'll try to break it down. Graphics; 9.5: The graphics are outstanding, plain and simple. The game is 3 to 4 years old, so you can expect a bit of age, but that may also be a pro, as it's easier to run the game on Ultra graphics. Sound; 9.5: Many say the announcer is annoying, but I say it is 2 things. First it adds a level to the gameplay, and second it can be hilarious. (the announcers voice can be changed to such sound types as "Sexy Female") Gameplay; 10: Wow! The game can be classified as a 'hack-and-slash' but it doesn't take away from the expierence. A good selection of well-balanced vehicles help along the slow bits. An amazing range of original weaponry further enhances the gamplay. Storyline; 4.5: This game is certainly not for those who wish for a deep, complex story behind the game. I can sum it up right now. In the future, aliens take over the earth and throw the humans into a universal gladiator ring, where they fight to the death with other prisoners from across the universe. Storyline in one sentence. =3 Overall; 9.9: I love this game. It's a great game for multiplayer, and you could play it by yourself for hours too. Way worth the price.

For those of us who sneer at the Call of Duty fanboys with their authentic Colt MK-DRT-OMGWTFBBQ rifles, this is the perfect game to keep you entertained for hours on end. You might even lose the life you worked so hard to get. Sad.This game comes on six CDs, and in that way shows you the system requirements in two words: Anything Reasonable. At 1024 lines fullscreen, I got the game to say: "Holy ****" when I set up my graphics configuration. The fog distance option is great for improving performance at no cost to visuals when you are playing indoor maps, but turn the slider to 1.00 when playing outside. For those of us with 1050-line fullscreens, the game doesn't support that resolution. It loves Vista and 7, and will work beautifully on the DX10 OSes. It also supports everything newer than 95, a great boon to our P4@1800s we have lying around. The game was vastly improved over UT2k3, which has empty servers and poor maps :(. In contrast, I can get a team together anyday. In conclusion, this game is FREAKING SWEET.

I bought this as required material in the Game Design course through the Art Institute. Included on the game disc is a copy of Unreal Editor, which allows you to create your own levels. There are a ton of online tutorials available (just google it) and it is VERY easy to work with - with the exception of scale. It works in increments of tens, but there is no 'default' measuring system. The first time I tried to create a level, it was 1/10th the scale I needed, lol.

excellent game even though it is 4 years old. If your PC is not quite up to current gaming standard but you want a great game this is it.

WOW, how come I just now have discovered this game, six years after it came out. This is certainly the FPS gaming SLEEPER of the Decade. We have discovered that it runs extremely well on XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Those that know I have hosted Delta Force games for 8 years, will be surprised to know, I now think UNREAL Tournament 2004 if better than anything NovaLogic ever put out. The graphics are better than even Nova's newest game Delta Force Xtreme 2. The characters are Faster, the game play is smoother, the maps are Better, the variety of weapons are Better, there is a larger number of character choices, and even the bad language Taunts can be shut off. If your PC is higher than the minimum requirements, you will never see any lag. This is a must have game for every serious FPS gamer. It lives up to it's name, it is UNREAL, and it is a BLAST! Check out the Screen Shots, I post serveral there.

Usually playing video games can become tedious for the fact that the minute you die you must go back to the beginning of that particular episode. With unreal tournament when you die you are quickly re-spawned which allows you to get right back into the game without losing any time. I love this game especially when I'm involved with the internet. The game quickens and with over 20 levels to play one can hardly complain of being bored. This game will last a very very long time. I've been playing it over a year now and I'm just getting started.I'm over 50 years old and I must say playing Unreal Tournament has brought out the boy in me once again..

This game is extremely fun and addictive for me. I used to play it all the time, but I had to buy another copy, so I got this version, and since highschool I have moved to linux. I was told that there is a linux installer for UT2K4, but it doesn't appear to exist on this version. Why they removed it, I have no idea. Also finding the installer to download has been futile. I could install it in Wine, but it won't play it crashes every time. I won't give up, but making it difficult for linux users to install it out of the blue is definitely a -1 star for me.Edit: If you're trying to install it on Linux, look for Loki installers for UT2K4, and after you enter your product code, it'll probably freeze so open top and kill it with signal 1, then it'll come back up and ask for the code again, plug in your product code again and it'll work. At least that's what I did.

Unreal Tournament has always been the innovator in the genre of first-person shooters since it's debut release in 1999. Fast-paced and andrenaline-pumping, there's no surprise that UT2004 is the best PC game to date. With a multitude of weapons and a practically endless list of maps and game modes, [not including those made by the community] there's never a dull moment. The career mode is tough and challenging, but fun as you get to build your own perfect team. But, of course, online is where this game shines. Having played this game for the better part of six years, I know that this is one that even my GRANDKIDS will be playing in 50 years time. It's an instant classic and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys first person shooters.

This game is actually a game package, with the main sequence as well as several alternative battlematches on the side for hour upon hour of interesting first- or third-person shooting. What more, this package is delightfully custom-oriented, versatile enough to work with YOUR OS, sound card, and video card. From gore levels to language considerations, UT2004 can be easily modified if mom and dad are worried about the influence video games are having on you. The controls are smooth and easily acquired, the visual and physics effects are keen and precise, and the characters you can choose (or win) into your team are remarkably unique and flavorful. True, Malcolm can be a dastardly little bugger near the end, but each level has a broad range of options to satisfy your style--stealth, brute strength, speed, always with a few surprises to keep you playing. A masterwork of computer entertainment!
