Book Description

January 1, 2005
This book explains how to identify carcinogens and other toxic ingredients on product labels, boycott such products, and shop for safe alternatives from non-mainstream industries. This is critical as we are losing the winnable war against cancer, which now strikes nearly one in two men and more than one in three women in their lifetimes, and as the increasing incidence of allergies and hormonal diseases is now recognized.

5.0 out of 5 stars Serious things to know, April 2, 2006
This review is from: Unreasonable Risk, 2nd Edition (Paperback)
I appreciated very much this book. It brings information that most of the times lack a serious background but not in this case. Anyway, there is always Pubmed if you want to go further. The only thing I could look with reserve is the interest conflict between the author and Neways. Said that, the book is useful, important and trustful. Read it, because you're worth it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Unreasonable Risk, October 4, 2007

Not nearly as helpful as the Safe Shopper's Guide. I was hoping for updated information on products like that one. However, it has just much more general information. It would significantly benefit by a list of chemicals to avoid that could be cut out and taken to the store.
