Michael Holroyd never wrote a wittier, often side-splittingly hilarious book. His reminiscences of Harvard in the 1960s, his childhood home and parents, his wry description of an author's book signing (his own)---if you're interested in books, authors, and their adventures these vivid stories (all true) will ever light up your memory and tickle your funny bone. What a stylist! One of my favorite books!
