Great find, August 28, 2009

I bought this cd in a pawn shop today for $1.99. I drove around, doing my errands, listening to this cd. The more I listened, the more I could not believe this band is not spoken of in the most highly exalted terms of Texas psych. If you can find this cd affordably, pick it up right away! If you like garage psych, you will be very happy. Most unreleased music by bands of this era are pretty good, not great, but interesting. This one is great, just great, even if it is a little more lo-fi than, say, the Beatles. It's got a Stonesy sound, but with a strong Texas twang. And, when I saw that (currently) it costs around $120 on Amazon, I felt quite lucky indeed. In fact, I think I need to play it again, just for luck!
