Any and all of Eddie Izzard's work that you can get your hands on is well worth the price you pay. I am fortunate to say I have seen this man live and in person, and he holds nothing back. He is surreal, and yet so simple in his explainations about how toasters work and what a cow might sound like if played in a film by Sean Connery. He's totally hilarious when imitating an evil girraffe, and going over the notes on the bungled results of Pavlov's Cat project. I could go on, but i'm cracking up @ the thought.
If you have seen his Dress To Kill show on HBO, and you fell in love as I did and are are thinking about buying the rest of his material, I urge you to do so.

If you do purchase his audio material, be forewarned that it must NOT be listened to while driving! I learned that the hard way when I shut my eyes for an instant to guffaw, and dropped my cigarette in my lap and caused an accident! Rest asured, nobody was hurt.

Obviously there is not a single bad thing to be said about Eddie Izzard as he is the single funniest person to come from the UK. However as any true Eddie Izzard fan would understand, he must be seen as well as heard. Although you can picture him as you listent to this CD, you really need to see his mannerisms. Still very funny but not as highly recommended as his DVD's are.

A great set of comedy CD's. His obesrvations on life are great, and truthfull, which makes it even more funny.

I would love to see some of the skits live, because you miss some of the faces and jesters he makes while actually preforming them.

But all in all it is a great collection :)

I first saw Eddie on his HBO special Dress to Kill and was hooked!! I now have four of his CDs and two of his videos. He is undoubtedly the funniest comic on earth!! I've listened to the CDs many times and never get tired of them. I recommend Eddie Izzard to everyone!!

What can I say? I love this guy...but, as he will tell you, transvestites do not fancy other men...crowbar separation there, and he believes that Gay men would agree. This words are just one of the many zany outlooks on life portrayed by Izzard in his routines. All of my friends also love Izzard, and we often scare ourselves when we realize how well we can recite his works in unison. Even my mother, who grew up with Cosby, will make us sit in the car after we have arrived at our destination to finish listening to "Just one more minute" of this fabulous humour.

I can truthfully say that Izzard ranks with cosby, Monty Python and Mel Brooks, providing a middle ground of random antics and political blasphmation.

If you don't buy this, you're missing out.

I don't think there is much I can say that would be different from the above critic. Eddie Izzard is a genius, up there with Monty Python and various other comedians. His humour is gently sarcastic but so intelligent it blows one's mind. His outlook on life is so amazing and funny, I think it's fair to say anyone would love him!

You must buy these..they are with out a doubt some of the funniest things you'll ever watch.Having watched all his videos numerous times I would say that Unrepeatable is one of the best with The Definite Article the most intelligent. Britain arguably produces the most intelligent and witty comedy in the world and this is the very best.

This is the comedian that other comedians watch and will appeal to anyone. You will watch them time and time again , as well as quoting them to everyone.

The humour is surreal where he will take you on a verbal jouney and then turn right when you least expect it.The sketch about the differeces between cats and dogs is breathtaking. In the Definite Article his journey is a bizarre history lesson with a twist.Hannibal crossing the alps sounds dull but not with eddie describing dope smoking Roman's watching the elephants skiing across the mountains.It really is like nothing you'll ever see.

It won't appeal to the average brain dead hick but for people who like their comedy intelligent then is a genius..it's that good.

I love this man, absolutely. Definitely on the top 10 list of one of the best comedians today. This two CD set is wonderful, just as good as Glorious/Dress To Kill.

Wow, okay so I was lucky enough to find this at Tower the other day being the Circle and Dress to Kill fan that I am. Dude, the CDs get better and better everytime you listen. There's always something you missed that lats time you listened to it. Izzard is simply the best comic around with his difficult and very intellectual humor. He's a vivid storyteller that you'll love to listen and laugh to. Heck, I've even learned a few things from him. Buy this, you will not be dissapointed. Definte Article and Unrepeatable are classics.

My wife's not used to 'listening' to comedians. Me, I grew up on record albums like "Steve Martin: a Wild and Crazy Guy". Richard Pryor's "Mudbone", Robin WIlliams and Eddie Murphy. I enjoy watching HBO specials sometimes, but I like being able to hear the monologue without visual distractions moreso.

Mr. Izzard's recorded performances in England might require some to listen to more than once to get the references or keep up with the patter, but who says that's a bad thing? Occasionally, the switch to French or German is a bit annoying (seeing as how those of us unfortunate enough to have been raised in the U.S. had 4th grade Spanish at best...forget French or German classes), but the intent is honest.

The usual sharp observations about life, religion and England's place in the world are all here. Sometimes, it manages to sound familiar...but not too much so. There's nothing here you'll remember from 'Dress to Kill', but you'll notice how some of his later skits grew out of these, which were recorded over 8 years ago (!).

Stiil and all, Mr. Izzard's good is better than most of today's comedians best. So there.
