Editorial Reviews

After the death of his father college professor Roy Clemens (Steve Harris) returns to his rural hometown where despite the years his first love Lucille (Catherine Dent) is still waiting for him. As Roy finds himself running the family store he is unable to truly settle in or rekindle his relationship with Lucille until he first confronts the horrific secret shared only with his estranged childhood friend Harold Dickerson (Gale Harold). But while Roy was able to bury his memories and escape Harold never left the town and now holds his blind and simple-natured brother Sammy (Phillip Bloch) captive in their ramshackle house. Imploring Roy to release him from his brother's prison Sammy forces Roy to confront his issues with affinity trust and love. It is the young man's forgiving spirit that enables these divided friends to reconcile. Roy and Harold must confront the guilt they feel for denying their tortured past and face THE UNSEEN.System Requirements:Running Time: 99 minutesFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: DRAMA/CHILDHOOD DRAMA UPC: 181582000425 Manufacturer No: WD-66

3.0 out of 5 stars Just ok, June 28, 2010

I first off was like most other people who wanted this movie, I love Gale Harold and think he's a great actor.
Also Michelle Clunie from QAF is in this also.
The movie was just ok for me though, all the perfomances were great, but I guess I was expecting more from the story. The trailer you watch makes you think you're going to see something completly differnt when that's not the case at all.
I watched it once and probably won't again for a long time if ever.

1.0 out of 5 stars Biased Bull, September 30, 2009
This review is from: The Unseen (DVD)
This movie makes white people from the south look terrible. They are portrayed as owning nothing. There is that black woman who owns a restaurant and a black man who owns a store but all the whites are poor white trash except possibly a white older woman who may or may not own a beauty parlor and who chases the black store owner because everyone else in town (white) are trash with their teeth turning brown from tobacco (her words). This movie plot was good but the uneven way the director trashes whites is wrong.
