wow!,

Adema's new LP is a huge step forward from their debut album (which i really love). Much like their EP "Insomniac's Dream", The Unstable disc has a great feel to it. The harder songs like "unstable", "co-dependant" and "stressin'" are less hateful angry, they still get you pumped up, but without making you feel down at the same time, and the lyrics are still really great. Marky's voice is more stable (pun not intended..) and his screams sound awesome. A good suprise on this album are some of the softer songs, such as "so fortunate" (about having a new child in the world), "Let Go" (an inspiring song that makes you feel great), and "do you hear me" (about someone who's gone now, awesome chorus) And if you want a taste of Adema's debut, "needles" is about someone who's at the breaking point of using drugs, and it's really energetic and fast. Overall Adema's new disc keeps the reasons I first liked them alive, and expands on that by being a more melodic and enjoyable album. It hasn't left my cd player since I got it, you should look into it if you want a great rock cd! The dvd is a nice bonus, with 4 music videos and some cool behind the scenes footage.

Adema rule,

Ok, where to start. Adema are an amazing band. Some people may just think that they're tryin to follow in Korns footsteps, but they're not. As it shows in Ademas latest album "Unstable" They've changed. Both their previous albums, (Insomniacs Dream Ep and self titled album Adema), where good, and alot of the songs where quite heavy, which is great, but i think they're new album is just as good but in a different way. They've got softer songs on the album. e.g Promises, So fortunate. Although these songs aren't particuarley heavy, they are still really good. Promises in my opinion is one of the best songs on the album, and even if you don't like "So fortunate" you've got to appreciate what the songs about... Mark Chavez has an amazing voice and i think he uses it well on the album. I noticed one person that obviously can't spell said that Mark Chavez writes like a 2 year old, this isn't true, just because the lyrics are simple doesn't automatically make the song crap. Lyrics don't have to be complex in order for a song to be good E.g "Rip the heart out of me" and "Stressin out" aren't that complex, but they're great songs, they're quite heavy and have a kick ass tune.If you're a fan of Adema, or lookin for a new band to listen to, definately buy this album! xxx

I'm sorry to all of the hardcore Adema fans that slag off this album but come on this is ace! so much better than their self-titled album that they released a few years ago. musically adema have moved on lightyears and now they actually play music that is in time with each other an in the same key. i highly recommend this album
best songs: Rip The Heart Out Of Me 10/10 Co-Dependant 10/10 Stand Up 9/10

this cd really surprised me after i bought it. the sound was so much softer from their previous album(s) so at first i wasn't sure what to think. their heavy sound was what made me fall in love with them in the first place. they had the perfect rock sound. but after hearing it a few times, i love it. its a good overall album with songs full of inspiration and motivation. but by far the best song on the album is stand up. i would pay the fifteen bucks for the whole cd just to hear that song. overall its a cd worth buying.

I LOVE this record it definitely shows a different side to Adema. It clearly shows the growth from their self-titled album. Lyrically and vocally they have improved and matured. There is a wide range of songs to choose from- you can go from a soft and mellow one like 'So Fortunate' to an anger-filled one like 'Needles'. I think 'Co-dependent was an excellent song to put first. It is so full of energy and just bursts with excitement. 'Rip the Heart Out of Me' is also a great track. The guitar riffs are so awesome and Marky's vocals are great (the way he sounds all nice and then like growls). 'Stand Up' is a real good song with good intentions. Obviously it's about putting an end to an abusive relationship. It really raises the spirit of someone who might be in this type of dilemma. 'Unstable' obviously the best single off of this album so far. It just sounds freaking awesome. The lyrics, vocals and instruments just go together oh so well. 'Promises' one of the slow songs in this album definitely reaches a person's heart. Many people can relate to the lyrics and find comfort in them at the same time. 'Blame Me' another soft song with a little bit of heaviness. Also deals with a relationship, again many can relate with it. 'So Fortunate' was written by Marky(lead singer) for his new born son Marky the third. It is so heartfelt that it instantly brings more than just a tear to my eye. It is definitely full of love. 'Stressin' Out' brings back some of Adema's more heavier side. The title says it all. 'Do You Hear Me' is probably a more spiritual side of this album. It's very sad but thoughtful. 'Let Go' is probably one of my most favorite tracks that is on this album right now. The lyrics are like therapy and they just calm you down. If your having troubles just listen to this soft and almost mellow song and 'let go of all the pain.' 'Betrayed Me' another song about relationships and their troubles. It's kind of heavy but not too much. Lastly, 'Needles' was a perfect choice to close the whole album. It's so full of anger and rage and just makes you want to let loose. The whole album is like an awesome orgy in a person's ears. Definitely worth picking up and giving it more than one listen to. Plus it comes with a DVD with extra Adema footage and all of their videos.

Adema - "Unstable",

This album is definitely a growth for Adema. There's a good mix of harder songs, like "Co-Dependent", "Needles", and the title track "Unstable", as well as some slower, more melodic tunes, such as "Promises" and "So Fortunate". The vocals of Mark Chavez have improved slightly from their previous, self-titled album, as well as the lyrical content. The lyrics are even more personal this time around and have great messages. I strongly recommend checking out this album to anyone who is a fan of good rock music.

Adema is one of the best bands i've ever heard. I had other favorite bands before them. But once i listened to them for the first time i absolutly loved them. OTHER PEOPLE may think "oh there writing is bad, they suck, blah blah blah." If they actually take the time to really understand and appreciate it, it means more. There writing just reflects each individual in the band and what they have been through. Also some may say "there songs are about getting heart broken and that does'nt make them good artists". When actually their point is not to try to make people feel bad and like their music its just something that they express and acutally is a big topic that many people have problems with and can relate to. And if you really think about it ALMOST EVERY SINGLE SONG YOU LISTEN TO SPEAKS OF THE SAME EXACT ISSUES, drugs, love and so on and im sure people like those. I've also heard that limp bizkit has more mature music than them. i could not believe this. i like limp bizkit and i do have all their CDs but they dont really talk about real issues they sing about stupid stuff like "nookie" YEAH REAL MATURE!. It seems people like whatever is "IN". Adema may not be "in" or ever so popular but thats what i like about them. They are not going to change what they sing or how they play so everyone can like them. They play for their fans. If you like them okay cool, but if you dont you dont oh well. All i know is they are a great band and their REAL PEOPLE. they are not stuck up or all into themselves. they really care about what their fans think and are extremly appreciative for what their fans do for them. When i first saw them i thought "oh my god there going to be stuck up not sign autographs or anything" but i was wrong. after the show each member went straight outside without trying to hide and spent alot of time with their fans reguardless if they were tried or had to leave. I've meet them soo soo soo many times and went to every show with me and my boyfriend (who introduced me to their music). They are such intelligent guys when you speak to them. and soo soo sweet. They know my boyfriend from every show and put us on the vip list since we did'nt get tickets to the next days show. Thats something they did'nt have to do but did cuz they cared for a fan. Its not always about if music is "COOL" or not its what it means and does for the person who listens to it and how it makes them feel. But anyway they are great guys and a great band. People should appreciate anothers passion.

I never bought the original Adema CD, I just couldn't get into many of the songs, so I downloaded the ones I liked. However, after hearing Stressin' Out, I knew I had to own this CD. From beginning to end "Unstable" is definitely one of the greatest albums I now own. Mark Chavez' rough, trademarked singing has definitely improved from the last album, as have the lyrics. A lot of music nowadays doesn't give me chills up my spine from the lyrics and music combined. But the combination of heavy chords and powerful lyrics that anyone can relate to (love, hate, friendship, stress, and more) gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. Some tracks did shock me, like Stand Up, but in a very good way. The band is writing about issues that, as far as I've seen, nobody has written about yet, and that's a very brave thing to do in such an Unstable world (... aha!). All in all, this CD is a must buy, but only if you are very open minded about real-life issues and don't live in a fantasy world where everything is perfect.

I'll disregard what most of the people have said about this album in a neg. way. I've been a fan of Adema since way back. There's maybe one song I'm not too hyped about but I love the CD nonetheless. The lyrics I really admire. And there's maybe two songs on the entire CD which repeat the chorus more then two times or a sentence at the end that repeats more then once.1. Co-Dependent - Talks about those who fall into society's addiction and for those who have a good life while other's sit back being sick over it. (English: For those who have a good life while their enemies hate to see 'em happy. For those who fall to society's decisions.) 2. Rip The Heart Out Of Me - Talks about being someone's puppet and what it feels like when you can't control your own self anymore. Eh, we've all eventually been there. 4. Unstable - The title speaks for its self. Relationship that can't work but lasts based on lust and mixed feelings/emotions. 5. Promises - Favourite track, and it's sad cos I dedicated it to an ex. To those who went out with someone or knew someone who no longer is with them (dead or alive). Broken words that we've all heard before from a significant other or friend/family. Talks about trying but never seemed good enough to them. 6. Blame Me - I dedicate this song to most of the people who grew up with my Mother and me. It basically talks about when people you talk to about certain things (bf/gf or friend) and they take it the wrong way. Or for those who blame their problems and stuff on other people. Good song all together. 7. So Fortunate - I'm guessing this song's dedicated to his son or in dedication to someone who couldn't step up to the bat and take responsibility. I wasn't even aware he had a child but nonetheless, I love the track. 8. Stressin' - Again, the title speaks for itself. Talks about letting all the big/little things get to you. Then believing/realizing the person has let you down. 9. Do You Hear Me - Upbeat for a sad song. I dedicate it to those who I lost in my past. Having a guilty, gruge, etc. against someone close to you for some reason or another and then losing them without saying sorry or saying what you felt. At first I thought it was maybe to one of his parents or wife/gf. Listening to it at 3 AM can make you think weird things. I love the track though. 10. Let Go - Talks about when you realize your life's fine, you got what you honestly need, accepting your flaws and stuff, and that being a human means making mistakes but learning from 'em. Love the lyrics but the beat could've been better. 11. Betray - I love this song. Talks about giving your self to someone who abuses blindly. Seeing someone for who they are when you let go. Dealing with the fact the person isn't coming back after the damage is done. 12. Needles - I had a hard time hearing the words so I looked up the lyrics. It's basically written about a drug addict. Moreso someone addicted to Coke/Heroin. And letting that become you're replacement for living. Tough song, 'specially since more then enough people have had their share of going through it or witnessing it. All in all, good song if you like stuff like Kittie, Old Man's Child, From Autumn To Ashes, Earshot, and Godhead; the screaming I mean. I wouldn't preach to buy it cos it's not in everyone's taste. But I've been a fan for a long time so I support them. Plus, I adore Mark. It's addicting, really :] All in all, the lyrics if you read and take the time to understand them, are depressing but they speak; it may sound like repeats but I love them. All in all, 8-9/10.
