5.0 out of 5 stars Unstoppable Joy! Reality or fantasy?, June 16, 2009
Unstoppable Joy! Reality or fantasy? After you read the book by the same name from author, Ed Osworth, you will come to know a new level of power around the joy you experience.

Throughout the book Ed gives great examples of how we either give up our joy or create more of it. I enjoyed the entire book, but one line in particular that Ed recommends we say upon waking made the entire book worth reading.

If you are seeking a deep sense of joy, gratitude and happiness, Unstoppable Joy may be just the ticket! Ed Osworth shows that happiness is not something that comes from any outward circumstances, but is truly an inside job.

With topics ranging from forgiveness, perception, gratitude and more, Unstoppable Joy is a fun and enjoyable resource to add to your tool box for life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like Nothing Else Out There - Fast Read and Very Potent Medicine, June 3, 2009
By
Judith L. Elliott (Grants Pass, OR USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Unstoppable Joy! is like nothing else I have read - and I have read loads of the self-help, manifestation and happiness creation books in the last several years.

The book is a conundrum of sorts. It's written in deliberately simple terms and language. It's not a deep and complex book at fewer than 140 pages. Yet the author's perspective enabled me to connect the dots of some of life's deepest mysteries that had eluded me until now.

I never would have imagined that the simple tale of Peter Pan could be used help me comprehend some of the most complicated interior workings my mind. That one chapter has enabled me to better control my reactions to certain internal dialogs.

Ed's advice of "simply doing what is in your best interest" rather than getting wrapped up in emotions and reactions to life's situations is quite refreshing, once you understand the book's definition of "your best interest".

The writing style is fun and playful and pulled me through the book in less than 3 hours the first read. He asks the reader a lot of very pertinent questions about how you see things in life, then compares his perspective. Some changed many of my assumptions of what is normal behavior in our society.

He saves one of his most potent analogies for last. He takes an everyday occurrence, a visit to an all you can eat buffet, and by uses it as a microcosm for our whole earth. Afterwards you will look at some of our societies normal behavior (and your own) in a very different light.

Oh, I guess the real question is "am I happier after reading it". Absolutely.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unstoppable Joy!, June 2, 2009
This review is from: Unstoppable Joy!: A Happier You in 12 Simple Steps (Kindle Edition)
In his book, Unstoppable Joy!, Ed Osworth fulfills the reader's desire to learn ways to live a joyful life. He touches on many, many aspects of life from caring for the physical being to living a non-judgmental life in our relationships with self and others.

The author adds a dimension to the Law of Attraction through his development of the Law of Perspective concept: "Your internal dialogue dictates what you will see and experience in your outside reality." We can choose the lenses - the perspective - through which we "see" things according to our beliefs. Our free will allows us to either maintain or change these beliefs as we see fit. What we choose to perceive is what we then attract into our lives.

Additionally, the book contains ideas that enable the reader to let go of the struggle/resistance in our everyday lives, such as: we tend to think of joy as a goal to be attained whereas joy is actually the way of life.

The author puts forth the information needed to live a life of joy in an uncomplicated manner with delightfully enlightening examples. In particular, the last chapter sums the message up so beautifully with the analogy of the "buffet of everyday life."

I thought of several friends who have "asked questions" and to whom I will suggest this book because "the answers" are here. Unstoppable Joy is a book that I will recommend to both beginners on this journey for its ease of comprehension as well as to seasoned journey-people for its insights and reminders.

5.0 out of 5 stars Is Unstoppable Joy Possible?, October 30, 2008
Ed Osworth is an author with a dream of a better world. In his world people are smiling all the time. People are polite, considerate, thoughtful and able to turn off the mind-numbing effects of television.

This self-described "Joy Professor" indeed professes in a brief volume that starts with an explanation of how we lost that sense of joy we had as children and ends with a plea for tolerance of other's personal choices.

Unstoppable Joy! is a mixed bag with examples of how Osworth arrived at his joy but very little about anyone else. "The Law of Perception," is the book's strongest argument and is well explained. Some of the rest of the work rehashes the various methods you've read about as you searched for that illusive pot of gold at the end of the dogma. Yet Osworth is able to turn much of that theory into sense by adding in his Law of Perception.

Readers will discover how many times they are subjected to fear mongering courtesy of the drug companies and be given a means by which to recognize the ways in which they have been trained to view the world as a threatening place. By introducing these concepts early, the author makes the explorations of forgiveness, living in the present, and other staples of the self-help genre seem fresh and attainable.

In this day of financial crises, war and dishonorable politicians Unstoppable Joy! gives its readers something of a chance against the odds.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Ideas, August 25, 2009
This review is from: Unstoppable Joy!: A Happier You in 12 Simple Steps (Kindle Edition)
Unstoppable Joy by Ed Osworth is 'worth' reading!
I gave this book to one of my coaching clients so he could begin to see how creating happiness in one's life is something we are responsible for....not something that just happens to us. It was an awakening experience for him as we worked through the steps together.
Thanks Ed for a fabulous tool!
