4.0 out of 5 stars Was the switch a good idea?, May 25, 2004

This is the first full-length studio album the Oaks released with RCA Records (after leaving MCA, their label of 13 years), and almost from the get-go, there were problems. Disagreements between the group and label brass resulted in nearly every song the Oaks picked being thrown out and the album's release being pushed back 6 months (somehow, several of the songs RCA deemed "unworthy" wound up becoming hits for label mates Alabama and Wynonna...).

The album DOES have some good moments, including the number-one hit "Lucky Moon" (featuring the late Steve Sanders) as well as "If I Were You" and (if you have the CD and not the cassette) "Our Love Is Here To Stay."

Overall, given the material they were presented with, The Oak Ridge Boys sang the snot out of each song (no matter how mediocre). I'd say that RCA is to blame for the problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars NEWER BETTER OAKS, March 12, 2009
This review is from: Unstoppable (Audio CD)
I fully agree with the reviewer about Steve Sanders. There are only a handful of songs that I would even listen to prior to him coming on board. "It Takes A Little Rain" and maybe and I'm not sure if Steve was on "No Matter How High I Get." Besides these, this is their best work to date and the only cd I will ever own by the Oaks.

Definitely recommend this one to country fans and those who just enjoy good music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oak Ridge Boys/Steve Sanders, January 26, 2006
This review is from: Unstoppable (Audio CD)
This is the best that the Oak Ridge Boys had ever been with Steve Sanders singing Baritone for them. They never sounded better. I don't listen to any of the Oak's music that Steve didn't sing on and I wished that they had had remade a lot of their songs with Steve taking Bill Golden's place.
