If you're a fan of Rascal Flatts, you will totally love this album! Top to bottom, the songs are all very strong. They all have amazing harmony, and cross many different musical genres. This should assure more of the same continued success that has given Rascal Flatts the honor of "top country group" at the ACM Awards for 7 consecutive years.

"Love Who You Love" starts off the CD with an awesome, classic Rascal Flatts song - which should soon be a sure-fire #1 hit. A Very catchy and upbeat tune, which features well written lyrics with a nice message. Their first single ("Here Comes Goodbye") is already #1 on the country charts, which it definitely deserves. It's a great power-ballad which features the amazing combination of Jay's piano playing, Gary's vocals, Jo Don's Guitar, and Dann Huff's production.

The title track is a very good song which is definitely hit material, as is "Once" (another potential single written by Jeffrey Steele). "Things That Matter" carries a message that so many of us need to hear, and it wastes no time getting the wise words across. "Summer Nights" is a perfect summer concert song, and a much more tasteful alternative to "Bob That Head" from their last album.

Overall, I think that the final track - "Why" - is the very best song on the album. It is an unbelievably powerful and emotional ballad, which deals with a sensitive topic in such a unique way. The lyrics will give you chills when you realize what they are really about. To me, this one has "Song of the Year" written all over it. A great ending to a really great album.

It is always a step forward for the members of Rascal Flatts (Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus, Joe Don Rooney), and never a step back. With the release of their sixth studio album, "Unstoppable," this record-setting Vocal Group of the Year strives to capture a wide range of emotions in the songs so as to provide their fans with lyrics that capture moments in their lives, and they do so in a way not even they have yet done. From the haunting vocals on "Forever" that have the ability to bring tears to the eyes to the upbeat tempo with incredible harmonies on "Summer Nights," these songs reach across all boundaries set by other artists of every genre.
With every new release, Rascal Flatts strive to release at least one song that touches the heart with its poignancy. On "Unstoppable," that song comes in the form of "Why," a heartbreaking ballad about the end of a "beautiful song" that stands as an implied metaphor for life. Through the simplicity of the instrumentals and vocals, this song attempts to bring sense to a suicide and delivers beautifully.
Other highlights on this disc include "Once," "Unstoppable," and "Close," but every track deserves a listening.

When a person thinks of Rascal Flatts, he or she thinks of catchy pop country music that gets feet tappin' and voices singin' along; it's music that provides a melody to the lives of many country music fans. Whether it's songs about long lost love, faith, or having a good time, Rascal Flatts knows how to provide music for any occasion. In April 2009, Rascal Flatts yet again proved themselves among the country music elite when they released their album, Unstoppable. This being the group's sixth studio album release, the album title fits just fine; it's music that definitely confirms the group has no plans of stopping anytime soon.

As heard on most Rascal Flatts' albums, goodbye takes many different forms on Unstoppable. In Close, goodbye's seen as the choice not to delete an ex-lover's voicemail message or throw out and old Notre Dame T-shirt. In Holdin' On, it's seen as a lipstick-smeared can of Mountain Dew in the back of a pick-up truck. At a suicide victim's funeral, goodbye's seen as a survivor's guilt; a lingering, troubling, remembrance. In Once, (which was co-written by American Idol judge Kara Dioguardi) and Forever, goodbye is seen as a relationship lost. Even in the trio's first single from the album, Here Comes Goodbye (which was co-written by Season 6 American Idol finalist Chris Sligh), it takes on human form.

Although it may seem like it, misfortune and so-long's aren't the only themes on the record. She'd Be California is a fun-loving song that describes a woman which sounds like a girl right out of the Beach Boys' California Girls. The title track, Unstoppable, commemorates the powerful nature of love, while the first track off the album, Love Who You Love, urges the listener to tell his/her loved ones how much they are loved before it's too late. Summer Nights sets mood for a perfect summer evening shared with friends having a good time; it makes the listener nostalgic for those long summer nights spent as a teenager. The emotionally-charged Things That Matter is a ballad that challenges the listener to really think about the song's exact title; the things that matter.

Although not necessarily exemplified on this album in a particular song, many of the group's lyrics either speak directly of God or lead the listener to think that they're singing about God, and all three members of the group profess Jesus Christ as their Savior. In today's post-modern society where many people don't care about their own personal beliefs, it's great to have a group who isn't afraid to use the platform they've been given to lead someone to the saving knowledge of Christ, as long as the person's willing to listen to the message. Rascal Flatts is a group that isn't afraid to bring up the hard topics in their songs, nor share the answer they've found, which is God. No matter the song, the group's got a strong message; they don't just write songs to write songs, they've got something to say that's worth listening to.

With over 18 million albums sold and numerous country music awards, Rascal Flatts is sure to be around for a while. Unstoppable is an album that surely hasn't quieted the true country fans, but rather it has kept their fan base growing. One of 2009's most anticipated releases in country music, the album has set and keeps setting records. Goodbye may be a common theme heard on this album, but it's definitely a word they won't be saying anytime in the near future to country music.

I finally saw RF live in San Diego last month - like most artists, you can't fully appreciate what they're doing until you see a live performance. Incredible energy, fantastic musicians, personable - well worth the money. That said, the album follows a proven formula, but for me, its about being able to recall the live performance that makes it worth it - having seen their live performance, watching them play all the songs you hear on the radio, makes an otherwise run-of-the-mill album worth listening too. Agree w/ the Tennessee review re: $4.99 price tag - good value!

A huge Rascal Flatts fan. But not their best album. Not better than "Me and My Gang" but worth the money just to have in your collection if you're a huge fan of their music.

What can I say, other than they did it again....
I pre ordered my copy of Unstoppable back in Feb. '09. when I heard that Rascal Flatts were releasing a new album. I heard " Here Comes Goodbye " on the radio one cold blizzardy night and I remember thinking to myself,
How awesome it will be when this album comes out in April. well, here we are, the wait is finally over. Incredible.... 5 stars no doubt!
These guys have what it takes, and they are without a doubt...Unstoppable.
Excellent job guys, well worth the wait...

Every Rascal Flatts album I've ever bought was immediately captivating from the very first listen...until this one. I agree with some of the other reviewers who say this one just doesn't grab you the way their previous work does. I haven't heard one song that really makes me excited, or any track I just can't take off of repeat. It's just...okay. If you're a diehard Rascal Flatts fan then, by all means, add this one to your collection. If you're just looking for some good country music, don't bother with this one.
