~catchy songs -- awesome cd~,

This review is from: Unstoppable (Audio CD)
If you're a fan of Rascal Flatts, you will totally love this album! Top to bottom, the songs are all very strong. They all have amazing harmony, and cross many different musical genres. This should assure more of the same continued success that has given Rascal Flatts the honor of "top country group" at the ACM Awards for 7 consecutive years."Love Who You Love" starts off the CD with an awesome, classic Rascal Flatts song - which should soon be a sure-fire #1 hit. A Very catchy and upbeat tune, which features well written lyrics with a nice message. Their first single ("Here Comes Goodbye") is already #1 on the country charts, which it definitely deserves. It's a great power-ballad which features the amazing combination of Jay's piano playing, Gary's vocals, Jo Don's Guitar, and Dann Huff's production. The title track is a very good song which is definitely hit material, as is "Once" (another potential single written by Jeffrey Steele). "Things That Matter" carries a message that so many of us need to hear, and it wastes no time getting the wise words across. "Summer Nights" is a perfect summer concert song, and a much more tasteful alternative to "Bob That Head" from their last album. Overall, I think that the final track - "Why" - is the very best song on the album. It is an unbelievably powerful and emotional ballad, which deals with a sensitive topic in such a unique way. The lyrics will give you chills when you realize what they are really about. To me, this one has "Song of the Year" written all over it. A great ending to a really great album.

Unstoppably Moving Forward,
This review is from: Unstoppable (Audio CD)
It is always a step forward for the members of Rascal Flatts (Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus, Joe Don Rooney), and never a step back. With the release of their sixth studio album, "Unstoppable," this record-setting Vocal Group of the Year strives to capture a wide range of emotions in the songs so as to provide their fans with lyrics that capture moments in their lives, and they do so in a way not even they have yet done. From the haunting vocals on "Forever" that have the ability to bring tears to the eyes to the upbeat tempo with incredible harmonies on "Summer Nights," these songs reach across all boundaries set by other artists of every genre. With every new release, Rascal Flatts strive to release at least one song that touches the heart with its poignancy. On "Unstoppable," that song comes in the form of "Why," a heartbreaking ballad about the end of a "beautiful song" that stands as an implied metaphor for life. Through the simplicity of the instrumentals and vocals, this song attempts to bring sense to a suicide and delivers beautifully. Other highlights on this disc include "Once," "Unstoppable," and "Close," but every track deserves a listening.

Great, but not the best...,
By Morgann (Hebron, Indiana) - See all my reviews

A huge Rascal Flatts fan. But not their best album. Not better than "Me and My Gang" but worth the money just to have in your collection if you're a huge fan of their music.
