Chris Bennett has always been a great jazz and pop singer, but on this C.D. she proves she is also a Latin Big Band Singer. What a hot album! I love her version of "Use Me" by Bill Withers "Someone To Light Up My Life" by Jobim is simply the most romantic cut I've heard in years. This is my favorite album - check it out!

I can't recall how and when I got this CD. Let's say this CD just caught my attention. After a run-through listening session, I gave it a second try and now it is one of my favorites, especially on a sunny afternoon at the beach or in the evening out in the lanai with a tall cool iced drink in hand. The tropical blend of drums and Miss Bennett's breathy voice and the Latin beat of the band behind Chris takes me to a whole different world. Chris writes many of her songs show cased in this CD. What an advantage over other singers. This is best heard on a summer night when the stars are out and one has time to spare. My favorites on this CD are "Use Me", "On A Summer Night", and "Someone To Light Up My Life". I give this a good 4 stars...
