Jack Wilkins is one of the true jazz guitar greats. I have had the honor of playing with him and he continually amazes me. Stellar technique and taste and musicality don't always go hand in hand but with Jack they are his signature and calling card. I have been a fan since I was in high school and his latest release on MaxJazz will be on the top of your CD pile.

Not as well known to the general public as he should be, Wilkins is a guitar player's guitar player.
This is beautifully produced and played small group jazz. Classic, but never predictable, the cd is enjoyable from start to finish. |
