Product Description

An intimate portrait of three lives on the brink of emotional and spiritual explosion. Hedonistic Robert (Norman Reedus, BOONDOCK SAINTS, MIMIC) circulates in a BLOW UP-style world of models, sex, drugs and fashion photography while engaging in an affair with an isolated married woman. Also starring Kathleen Robertson (Beverly Hills 90210, Scary Movie 2), Sean Young and Michael T. Weiss (TV’s The Pretender).

"Reedus and Robertson's virtuoso performances create true people. This is a brilliant first film for Hatanaka." -- Las Vegas Weekly

"This is a strong, truthful film about adult relationships." -- Upcomingdiscs.com

"With strong acting, a very well-drafted screenplay and some impressive independent filmmaking. A great little film." -- Calgary Movies

Customer Reviews

If you like the actor Micheal T. Weiss, its a must have cuz of his great performance.
Eivonny
While she played somewhat of a bit-part in this film as a femme fatale, she was captivating in all of her minutes in the movie.
D. Roberts
I can't get into my review without saying this movie was very annoying because of all the smoking.

This film represents the best of contemporary independent cinema: a mature, compelling dissection of very real and very flawed adults as they try to find their way through the world. Gregory Hatanaka's direction and screenplay is intelligent and powerful, and the performances (particularly Norman Reedus) are amazing for their depth and scope. This film should be seen by anyone who wants to experience a smart, focused and memorable motion picture.

I checked out Until The Night on a fluke. I hadn't heard of it and only stumbled across it after looking up Norman Reedus on IMDB.com after I saw him in Floating (another great film) at a friends house.

Anyway, what a film. Dark, depressing, intense, real and brilliantly acted. What raw and eye opening performances from the leads, Norman and Kathleen. I was riveted by every moment of this film.

I highly reccoment picking this film up. You won't be disappointed.

Fans of heavy drama will be very satisfied.

I bought this DVD as I am a fan of Norman Reedus and it sounded interesting. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it because of the negative reviews but I loved it. It was dark and intense, engrossing and at many times true to life. It was a well acted movie that I would not only watch again but recommend to friends...as I have already done.

Until the Night Maybe the title of this movie should be ..."hedonism". It's a good movie, that I enjoy watching - yes, I'm still watching this because I'm still trying to keep up with who is doing what with who. I'd say this is the Japanese's view (having lived there once) of the world of photography, fashion, modeling, acting and the seemingly maddening lifestyles that one can get caught up in when part of this world. To me, no matter what "world" you run in -the emotions, changes, loves and hurts still happen like this, just to a different degree. Basically, people who appear to live like there is no tomorrow or not really care who they're with today or tomorrow go through the same madness as anyone when it comes to Love. Maybe it's my ADHD that keeps changing my mind about each character. I think just about anyone can relate to the characters, or at least one of them, because you live like this or have lived life like this at one time - and everyone knows how Love goes. People who like the darker indie films will enjoy this one.

Not many people know of the actor Norman Reedus or this movie. This movie isn't your average film noir and nor is it your average lame documentary type film. This is a full-length picture look into the restlessness of the human condition, the need of every human soul to be loved and find love, however and whenever they can. Worth it from beginning to end.

A dark and intese drama, Until The Night is packed with top notch performances from a first rate cast. Kathleen Robertson turns in a pitch perfect performance that rivals work done by most working actresses today. I only wish we can see more of her soon. Norman Reedus is great as usual. Greg Hatanaka brings us an intemate haunting tale of heartbreak, love, and loss. Highly reccomended.

This was one movie I watched mainly because Norman Reedus was in it. I watched it after watching Floating and I have to say, this movie is so badly acted. None of the characters seem to have any chemistry and I rarely knew what was supposed to be happening during most of the scenes. The only bright spot in the whole movie was Norman. If you want to watch something, please save yourself the boredom and watch something else instead.
