The Easy Star All-Stars prove that they can do much more than covers. One of the best reggae bands on the scene today. Got To Get Away and Bed Of Rose are classics.

Reggae and dub can be hard to decipher when used as background music, and that's what I think attracts people to that genre of music. It's hard not to love a band that produces a sound you're so familiar with and have grown to love. Nothing spectacular, but a nice listen nonetheless.

For my tastes, only the last DUB track does it....
Poppy, and commercial. I see that the ES All-Stars really are uneven. The last album of originals was fantastic. This one is not as good, IMHO. Oh well.... |
