You can do better, Client!, March 2, 2009

I thoroughly did not enjoy this remix album. Being a big fan of Client, it's hard to say that, but I figured other fans should know.
The majority of the tracks completely tear apart the originals, and turn them into cheap and even annoying trance-mix rip offs. If that's your thing, go right ahead and listen, but the remixes are completely devoid of the substance present in the originals.
I'll give it credit for turning a few tracks (like Xerox Machine and Drive) into a catchy dance beats, but they don't make up for the other tracks.
All except one..."Drive (Dobro Lovemix By Boosta)", track number 6, is the jewel hidden in this album. It's wholly unlike the other tracks on this remix album, being more of an acoustic remix with ethereal vocals and subtle guitar. Easily one of my favourite Client songs now.
Overall, I don't recommend this album.
