5.0 out of 5 stars UNTOLD STORIES OF COLUMBINE.....A GREAT BUY
I purchased this video about 2 months ago. I thought that Mr. Scott did an exellent job in telling the essence of his daughter Rachel Scott's story. He under a very close time to this tragedy began to tell his daughter's christian story. I thought that this video was awe inspiring. It has encouraged me, my faith, as well as several people at my church who I have let...

1.0 out of 5 stars Untold Story of Columbine This Is Not
As a person avidly interested in the Columbine massacre, I am disappointed with the cliche it has become. Columbine, Dylan, and Eric have been triviliazed beyond imagination and the victims have become a franchise, especially the Bernalls and Scotts. I am not undermining the events or people and understand the families losses, but I believe there is a thin line between...

I purchased this video about 2 months ago. I thought that Mr. Scott did an exellent job in telling the essence of his daughter Rachel Scott's story. He under a very close time to this tragedy began to tell his daughter's christian story. I thought that this video was awe inspiring. It has encouraged me, my faith, as well as several people at my church who I have let borrow it. Yes Columbine was a terrible thing. But what Darrell Scott was trying to and did effectively is tell the story that thousands of teens and adults alike have been touched spiritually through Rachel, and the other young people who died at Columbine. I only can hope to someday have as much spiritual wisdom that Rachel was given by God It's about time we take the issue of our youth seriously in our society. We are losing them to all kinds of evil in today's society. I commend the Scott family for their personal sacrifice of privacy in their time of grief to tell of their daughter's story to inspire others to carry on the torch of faith that Rachel and the others dropped that day at school. God bless you Darrell and all the Scott family.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Father's Love, A Daughters Faith, August 15, 2000

After you see this video, you will really know Rachel Joy Scott and her father Darrell. You'll know what is possible when a youth dedicates her life to Jesus Christ. You'll know how a senseless tragedy can lead to an incredible change in the lives of so many people. You'll be led to examine your own life, and if you're a parent, how your life has affected your child's life. Then how a young teen's story has affected everyone who hears it, or even hears of it. You'll cry as Darrell Scott selflessly bares his soul and the souls of his family. You'll be uplifted, most of all, and want to share this with everyone you know. And after seeing this video, you'll hit your knees that night and thank Jesus for His mercy in your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Truly Moving Glimpse Of The Life And Death Of Rachel Scott, December 7, 2001

I first saw this video at a youth group outreach and I must say, there was not a dry eye in the house! It moved me deeply and I have not been the same since watching it.

In this video, Darrell Scott (Rachel's father) discusses Rachel's life and shows us brief excerpts from her private journals. If you have read the moving book, Rachel's Tears, you will already be familiar with alot of what Darrell discusses on the video.

The video also includes excerpts from Rachel's funeral as broadcast on CNN, which are also very moving, yet encouraging as we hear from her family and friends about the brief, yet inspiring life of this young lady who was incredibly passionate about living her life for God.

By the end of this video, you will be motivated to take a stand for Jesus and to pick up the torch!

This video is great if you wanted to learn more about what happened on April 20, 1999 or to realize what GOD is doing if you can't see, hear, talk, or even realize he's there this video tells you to always have faith and to love GOD like GOD loves you and to always trust him and to change your life for GOD cause he is the one who put us all here on Earth and to take us home when the time comes and that's what he did with Rachel (RIP). Darrel explains all that Rachel knew and went through so I recommend this to anyone who truly loves and trusts GOD for anything that happens.

5.0 out of 5 stars TOUCHING!, April 14, 2001

This was a soul touching video. It really shows the pain that not only the Scott family but the entire community had to endure. It also showed how they are dealing with this tragedy and point out that it was also "A Spiritual Event." I am a school resource officer and I know the only difference between my school and Columbine is nothing more than a whole bunch of miles, it can happen anywhere. I plan on showing this video to my kids at school so they can see the reailty of school violence. I think ANY parent (especially those with children in school) should watch this video!

4.0 out of 5 stars had me so moved, October 29, 2011
This review is from: Untold Stories of Columbine [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I'm the same age as Rachel's brother, Craig and was watching the news just about every time this story was aired. I watched this today and was so moved and amazed that I was crying and wanting to share this with my teenage cousins *who are almost the same age I was when Columbine happened.* Its kind of a preaching thing, which I don't normally watch, but to hear Daryll speak about Rachel's writings, the coincidental facts leading up to her death, etc, it was SO worth it:D

1.0 out of 5 stars Untold Story of Columbine This Is Not, April 5, 2003

As a person avidly interested in the Columbine massacre, I am disappointed with the cliche it has become. Columbine, Dylan, and Eric have been triviliazed beyond imagination and the victims have become a franchise, especially the Bernalls and Scotts. I am not undermining the events or people and understand the families losses, but I believe there is a thin line between respectfullness and integrity and downright greed. The whole event has become so causual, so rehashed and famous I cannot see how and why people could be moved by the families exploitation of their religious beliefs magnified to mythical standards. This is not the untold story of Columbine; this is the same thing that has been beaten into our heads since the event itself. I did not shed a tear as I watched it, instead I was indignant. Has this occurance not taught people anything? The truth and reason for and of Columbine can and will only be unveiled in one place- Dylan and especially Eric's writing. The rest is merely scenery and has been ... cheapened by the media selfishly and self-righteously. I only give it one star out of five for these reasons.

3.0 out of 5 stars Untold Stories from Columbine, August 2, 2000

This review is from: Untold Stories of Columbine [VHS] (VHS Tape)
As I watched this video, I began to realize how drawn-out this whole Columbine martyr thing has been. Don't get me wrong, it's a tragedy what happened to this young girl, but enough already. The first part is basically Rachel Scott's father addressing a church congregation, talking about his daughter and the alleged premonitions that pointed to her death and to the other Christian victims' deaths at Columbine. The rest of the video is her funeral, which is very poignant and probably the better part of the video, because it's about her life and not all the hoopla and stories surrounding her death. You will have a hard time keeping your eyes dry during her funeral. Overall it's just more Christian propaganda stemming from Columbine. Other than that I can say that it was watchable and some could find inspiration in the story of Rachel Scott's life and how she chose to live it.
