Did not know it was Christian-based,

I bought this book because I hoped to get a feminist take on the Secret Life of Bees--one of the best books I have ever read. My reading group chose the Secret Life of Bees to read one month, but I had already read it a couple of years before so I thought this book might provide a nice refresher, as well as a different angle on that great book. I did not gather from the description of this book that it was written from a Christian perspective, so I was disappointed when I started to read it and realized that it was. The Christian viewpoint did not interest me, but if you are interested in the Christian symbolism in this book, it should make for a good read.
