Great third volume.,

This is the final volume resulting in the surrender in Vicksburg. The only part that is neglected is Joe Johnston's advance to relieve Vicksburg resulting in the battle of Jackson, MS. Bearess did write a series of articles on the MS campaign back in the 1960's that was placed into book form but it would have been nice to see it in this volume. All three volumes describe the battles, cavalry raids and personal experiences in the campaign. I have now ordered the first volume of his new series on the seige of Petersburg.
