I found this book recently and was intrigued by the cover, and was pleasantly surprised as I kept reading.

Up All Night is certainly one of the best of the "true erotica" genre and is filled with highly memorable, enjoyable, sexy scenarios that are unique and realistic.

Up All Night features plenty of naughty girls getting into all kinds of trouble (and sometimes getting punished!).

So I had really high hopes for this compilation, especially due to the involvement of Stacy Bias, girl wonder. However, some of the stories were simply poorly written. Cliches abounded, and I found myself distracted from what would otherwise be a perfectly hot story with an interesting enough plot by the sophomorish writing.

Don't get me wrong, there are some really great stories with wonderful writing, and some are truly outstanding. It's worth getting. Just not as totally fabulous as I'd hoped.

Up All Night is a perfect erotica collection, with stories that runs the gamut from naughty to tender, smoldering hot to gentle flames that lick at you lightly until they get you totally turned on. Many of them feature couples trying out new roles, such as in Khadijah Caturani's "Ungentlemanly Behavior," when a very unchivalrous butch gets what's coming to him! Others show friends going beyond the bounds of friendship into much sexier territory, such as in "The Sex Test" by Alison Tyler and Zonna's incredibly tormenting "Games." That these stories are true is simply icing on the cake. "Insert Three Fingers Here" and "Caged" are some of the more delightful titles, and all of these naughty tales are sure to get you worked up. The passionate emotional truths underlying the amazingly hot, kinky and varied sex make this one a keeper. To quote a recent New York magazine cover story, "these are NOT your mother's lesbians." They are modern girls who know what they want and go after it, whether it's an alluring stranger in a club, a hot train conducter, or that very special person - their own lover.

Up All Night kept me reading from start to finish because each of the authors really gets into their heads and hearts - this book has plenty of amazing sex scenes, but it also has something that erotica needs more of - real emotions. The writers all take us inside their complex emotions, showing fear, anger, love, intensity, nerves, intrigue, lust, desire and so much more. The truth rings clearly as they get it on and bare their bodies and souls, taking risks that may change the course of their lives or relationships, even if only for a few hot moments. Up All Night is certainly one of the best of the "true erotica" genre and is filled with highly memorable, enjoyable, sexy scenarios that are unique and realistic. A real winner that will appeal to any erotica fan!

It starts with a hotter-than-hot cover picture (look at those ladies!) and unfolds into a hotter-than-hot collection of riveting, eloquent tales... It was a challenge not to be 'up all night' reading thru the stories in this book, as each is so beautifully captured that it indeed inspired me to want to read the one after...and the one after... The first story, A. Tyler's "The Sex Test" is the perfect introduction to all the sexiness, wit, and adventure in the subsequent tales of seduction/lust/passion/love/play/fun that follow; the concluding tale, H. Cowgirl's "What I Remember" beautifully wraps up the book with vivid narration of a passionate encounter between an Amtrak passenger and a 'working' train attendant; and everything in between is no less fantastic. The notion that reality can very well prove stranger than fiction is truly evidenced in this collection of stories, as they are all *true*. Somehow this made reading them, for me, anyway, even more fun. Great Valentines Day gift idea...

The stories in this collection are very good, for the most part, though they are sometimes a little repetitive given that they are purportedly "true." The writing is good and, thankfully, most of the stories are about women who identify lesbian and it is mostly male-free space, which is my preference for erotica about lesbians (as opposed to the "Best of Lesbian Erotica" series which has fewer and fewer women who identify lesbian every year and more and more queer/genderbending; it's just not my cup of tea.) This is a must have for the general lesbian erotica afficianado. A couple of the stories are a little awkward in style, but again, they are purportedly confessional type true stories, not polished works of fiction.

Up All Night has some of my favorite writers in it, like Alison Tyler who opens the book with a hot story of two friends who become more then friends with a Cosmo-like quiz. All of the stories move quickly and have just the right amount of teasing before the sex which features all kinds of games, locations and partners - strangers, lovers and friends. The stories are quick and easy to read and the sex is not only hot but unusual, which is saying something. Up All Night features plenty of naughty girls getting into all kinds of trouble (and sometimes getting punished!). Hot, fun, and sometimes dirty. I've read Up All Night twice so far!

These women have incredibly adventurous and exciting sex lives, ones that take them to wild parties, rides and dates where anything can happen. "Overtime" shows us some late night office nookie while the studly sailor in Diana Cage's works her magic long after the sex ends. Sex can happen in any form, from a surprise Halloween pissing orgy to some rocking sex in a lesbian bar's bathroom. These writers share ALL the details and give us a glimpse inside their heads as they venture forth into the night, spying on their lovers, hitting on their friends, seducing strangers and generally getting it on whenever and however they please. The writing here is top-notch, getting into the characters' heads, hearts and bodies. I found myself rereading several of the stories, getting just as turned on the second time as I was the first. Up All Night features some of the best lesbian erotica I've read in a long time, with memorable stories and unusual situations.
