More About the Author

I'm a long-time paper crafter who finally had the guts to take my passion online in 2007. Since then, long sessions spent with tiny little scissors and lots of card stock has resulted in more cupcake toppers and invitation artwork than I knew what to do with. So now I've moved the whole kit-and-kaboodle to Amazon, to share it with a whole new audience.

Once I did that, I started to branch out and now I've become a children's book author too.

I hope you enjoy my books!

I got to read an advanced copy of this story from the author. I really enjoyed reading this to my boys! It has such a great positive message and the pictures are so colorful and cute. My boys are both day dreamers so they enjoyed reading about Mrs. Hiffen Hoppers dream she had. This is a great story for any child.

The main theme is this beautifully illustrated children's book is to dream big. It's a message that all young children should learn! The illustrations are fun, whimsical and bright, so kids are sure to connect with it. Children (and adults too!) will surely love this.

This sweet, short story is beautifully illustrated. The plot encourages children to believe that they can be and do whatever they want to in life. Interesting and soothing and dreamy at the same time, this is a perfect nap-time or bedtime story for toddlers and little girls. I also appreciated that of the two princesses shown in the book, one was white and one black, making it a story that little girls of color can relate to.

This is a fabulous children's picture book for children aged 2 to 8. I loved it!

Mrs. Hiffen-Hopper is a wonderful character. She is a frog who dares to dream big! She takes her children on an amazing adventure to show them that it may be scary to dream big, but taking the journey into the unknown could bring even bigger dreams to follow.

This is a fantastic tale that teaches children that it is okay to dream big. The story is short enough not to bore even the most shortest attention span, but long enough to take the child on an amazing adventure. As this is a children's book, it has some fantastically drawn illustrations. These pictures compliment the story beautifully. The colours are bright and cheerful, and will appeal to young eyes. The story can be read as a bedtime story to the younger children, but can also be read by the children when they get old enough to read for themselves, as there are no big words to confuse their developing minds. I wish I had read this book as a child!

Carla Chadwick has written a charming children's book that brought a smile to my face. I wouldn't mind reading more of her adventure series in the future.

I HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone - even those who have forgotten their dreams as they grew up! - Lynn Worton

Cute and Upbeat, Up, Up and Away is sure to bring a smile to your little one's face. Kids need to know that their dreams are important and this book opens the doors to talk to them about it. What are their dreams? What do they want to do to accomplish those dreams? What will it take for your little one to realize their Up, Up and Away dreams?

This is a great bedtime book for young children. The colourful pictures are engaging, while the message to dream big and believe in your dreams is an important one. As another reviewer mentioned, there are two princesses, one with white skin and one brown - which not only makes the book more accessible for children of colour, but also provides diversity in the images other children see.

My three and six year olds both enjoyed this story.

Mrs. Hiffen-Hopper teaches her children a new lesson every day. Today she's teaching them the power of dreaming big. While her children are on recess, Mrs. Hiffen-Hopper has a dream that becomes magical. It's nothing new, her dreams are always magical.

This book is perfect for the younger set. Easy to understand and a quick read, Mrs. Hiffen-Hopper's adventures will become your child's new favorite. I can't wait to see what's next for her. As she tells her children, the sky's the limit when it comes to dreams. You must get these books for those 1-8 year olds in your life. It will definitely be a collection to be passed down to future generations just like the Little Golden Books were for us.

I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 out of 5 cheers because even I as an adult enjoyed it.
