While this book targets managers just starting out in their field, it is a perfect read for any manager, regardless of age and/or experience level.

The author does an excellent job mixing basic (albeit essential) managerial tools with advanced productivity calculation tools - so even after spending less than an hour to breeze through the ideas, the manager can use the book for years to come as a reference when facing productivity challenges.

I work in the service industry and I now have enough knowledge from this book to begin introducing new ideas to my team to increase productivity from my existing staff while increasing customer satisfaction.

Up Productivity is the perfect book for all managers in any industry who are interested in improving the performance of their department and staff. The book addresses the most common productivity issues that face managers, explains the issues in easy to understand terms and provides tactics to use to improve performance. You don't have to be a management engineer or data expert to understand and employ the techniques. If you want to improve the performance of your department this book will tell you exactly how to do it.

Up Productivity is completely readable in one sitting but also a very valuable reference tool because of the way it's segmented into major areas of improvement (and it has an index). All managers will benefit from this book.
