Up From Rock Bottom is a wonderful book and easy read for anyone. It is extremely inspirational to say the very least. You are carried from one story to the next with ease yet each one is so different than the last. My clients often read my copy while under the hair dryer and refuse to stop mid-story when the dryer turns off. LOL I am so excited to see what she will do next.

"Alicia, when I got home from work yesterday, I decided not to go to my disciple class at church and instead I stayed at home and read your book. I ordered it two weeks ago and I kept telling myself that I was going to take some quiet time to sit down and read the book. Well yesterday as I sat there on the couch, I looked over at your book on my coffee table. It was there because I put it there the night before with hopes of reading it before going to bed. So, I picked it up and I didn't put it down until I got to the last page. Halfway through the book, I found myself in tears. Just absolute full blown crying. I realized that I wasn't just crying because of the stories that I was reading. I was crying because I found myself in the pages of that book. I was face to face with my ROCK BOTTOM. "In February I purchased this book. This past Sunday while laying in bed waddling.. lol... I reach over to my nightstand and grabbed this book. I had bought the book in Feb. because Alicia (you) is (are) a great and well rounded person and I wanted to support her ( you). But, I had not read any of it until Sunday. I havent read all of it... just the first 30 somethin pages. But the first part of this book was all me....... OMG... I cried.. I literally cried. I saw myself. It gave me an understanding as to why my life is the way it is and how things can be differant. I was able to begin a healing process within myself..... So..... thanks for doing what you are doing and what you have done. I am looking forward to finishing this book."April (NC)

To say that this book is inspiring is not saying enough. It's simply incredible! The stories are absolutely captivating! I was humbled by the courage, strength and sheer determination of the book's subjects to share their stories and overcome such gigantic obstacles. When faced with similar situations, most people would buckle. If you are going through ANYTHING, I recommend reading this book. Your spirits will certainly be uplifted and you'll be fueled with the insatiable hunger to survive!
