Never has any book felt so good in your hands as this finely crafted bible. Its a perfect bible for those who like to first read scripture without predjudice from notes, with just prayer and the Holy Spirit. (afterwards I look at commentaries, etc. and other study bibles) I have the navy cowhide version.. It feels like an old piece of leather that took years to feel so luxurious...and to top it off it has a lifetime warranty! The only thing I'd have perferred is one column as opposed to two but the paper quality and binding more than compensate for this. It really does open flat the 1st time!

I thought I might not like the lack of red-letter for Jesus' words, and might not be crazy about not having the cross-references, but I haven't missed them. The wide margins leave plenty of room for my own notes and cross-references. The binding and cover are fantastic, especially considering many of the other Bibles I've bought have bindings that failed quickly. I get a kick out of people picking up this Bible just to 'feel' it's soft leather cover. They almost commit covetousness! Several others have bought this Bible after seeing mine up close. It's truly the best I've seen.

I have just recieved what can only be described as a Bible made in heaven, because that is what it certainly feels like.
I have never felt such quality, not only in the leather but also in the paper.My congratulations to Dr Charles Stanley and the Lockman Foundation for creating a wonderful New addition to the NASB.This is a Bible that will last a life time because it is guaranteed for a life time.
There are many translation of the Word of God out there but none more literal than the NASB. If you want a word for word translation then this is the Bible for you. Please don't just take my word for it. Buy it and experience it for yourself.
You won't be disapointed.

If you are looking for a top-quality bible that will last this is it. I enjoy the straight text, large print, and wide-margins; Along with the translation. The WORD is forever! Read it, Memorize it, Meditate on it, Obey it, Hold it dear to your heart! Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

The NASB In Touch Ministries Wide Margin Bible is, by far, the preeminent bible in today's market.
It is one of the highest quality bibles that the Lockwood Foundation / Foundation Publications has published, to date.

I bought the blue calf skin edition.
This is exactly the same bible that Dr Charles Stanley uses in his sermons at First Baptist Church in Atlanta.

The leather is top quality and is buttery soft to the touch. The authentic smell of the leather is more like "pleasing aroma". It sits in your hands like a second skin. The paper used in this edition is the best quality bible paper I have seen. It is very white, extremely silky to the touch and there is very little 'ghosting' and ink bleed. I just wish all top quality bibles would use this paper.

Even the sounds that the bible/pages make when you turn the pages is unique.
The binding is Smyth Sewn and top class.

Some of the more reputable bibles published out of the UK have yet to match the paper used in the NASB In Touch Ministries Wide Margin Bible. You will know what I mean when you purchase one. It is amazing.

Please note that there are no cross references in this Bible.
So building your own references as part of your on-going work in gaining knowledge and wisdom in His Ways will be a bit of work, but a lot of fun and fulfillment. It certainly keeps me much more alert when I study the Word. With your personal input and notes, this Bible will become 'one of a kind' unique to you.

I have several bibles (all top quality leather). But my NASB In Touch Ministries wide margin bible is my main bible in nourishing and indulging myself with the Word of God. I'm sure that it will last me a life time and I am thinking about buying another one because the one I am using now is used for note-taking and highlighting (it took me several days to muster the courage to write on the pages. The paper is heavenly and didn't want to write on it). I would like to have another one that I will use just for the pure pleasure of reading. No pens or highlighters.

Foundation Publications has seriously raised the bar with the NASB In Touch Ministries Wide Margin Bible.
I just wish there was an ESV bible that is of the same quality, have the same paper, feel and craftsmanship.
Crossway does have great ESV bibles. But the choice of paper in some of the editions could be better.

I highly recommend this Bible to those who a looking for a Bible that looks great, does not compromise on quality, has good space for note-taking and that will last for many many years.

I got the Bible today and immediately got on Amazon to return it and have another one sent to me. There were tiny white particles jammed in the leather in the front of the Bible. Inside the Bible were hideous crinkles in some of the pages. Before my purchase I read other reviews stating the same problem (crinkled pages.) For the price I expect perfect quality. When it's all said and done (hopefully this will be the final return) I am sure I will be very happy with the Bible. A little disappointed, I noticed that some textual variants were noted and others weren't, example: Mark 16:9-20 is noted to be omitted by the earliest mss, while John 7:53-8:11 is not noted, it is bracketed, but without note, to where the passage in Mark is both bracketed and noted. However, this is a note-takers Bible so I plan to get the pen out and notate these variants myself. I was very happy with the thickness of the paper, the quality of the leather, and the wide-margins.
Day two: I got the exchange today and am very pleased. The particles jammed in the leather of the first one are not there. The pages still have some minor crinkle, but nothing near as bad as the first one. I highly recommend this Bible, best one I've ever seen.

I did a great deal of research before purchasing this Bible. I was looking for a note taking Bible preferably an NASB. I wanted it to be my last Bible purchase.

I almost did not consider this one until reading a lot of user reviews. I was under the assumption that this was one of those study Bibles with a lot of commentary by the person who lent their name to the edition. That is not at all the case. In fact quite the opposite. There are hardly even any reference notes in this edition, which leaves more room for note taking.

THE GOOD:
-Calfskin navy blue cover is outstanding. Very soft. Reasonably pliable. Dark blue is really unique.
-Silver page edging is high quality. My last Foundation Publishing Bible started losing its edging almost immediately.
-Pages are a whole lot thicker than my last Foundation Bible. No comparison in quality. It is even a more attractive slightly cream white color compared to the other Bible. No bleed through when using a .005 micron pen. I would recommend that you use colored pencils to highlight or a similar type highlighter. Ink based ones may bleed.
-Binding is excellent. It will lay flat right out of the box if you open it a quarter of the way or more. I started transferring notes from the other Bible beginning in Genesis and it did not lay open without a little coaxing. It's fine now after a few weeks of use.
-No reference notes to get in the way of note taking. Reference notes are nice, but I prefer to not have them. The other wide margin Bible I have has notes and they get in the way of the notes I want to take. They also render the wide margins useless sometimes because there are so many translation notations.
-I have seen other reviewers who say their Bible was printed overseas. This one very clearly says that it is printed in the USA.
-Lifetime Warranty. I contacted the publisher about this. They said it is a warranty for any production defects over the lifetime of the Bible, if it is used reasonably. My previous Foundation Bible lost most of the gold page edging almost as soon as I got it. It also had significant bleed through when note taking. These would be covered items with this Bible. The wrinkled pages others talked about should be covered items.

THE BAD:
These are really minor issues that I will mention although they don't particularly bother me. Others might care.
-Some people might not like the one page endorsement by Charles Stanley in the front of the book. I do not belong to Stanley's denomination or church body. In fact, he has preached things I respectfully disagree with. But the endorsement is extremely benign and unobtrusive.
-The two flyleaf pages in front and back appear to be glued too far inside the page. Over a quarter inch from the binding they are glued to the next page. I don't particularly mind this as I don't use these pages anyway.
-The leather page inside the front and back covers is a bit on the stiff side. This may wear more flexible in time at least I hope so.
-There is the slightest bit of crinkling of pages at the binding. Others have reviewed that this was very pronounced in their Bibles. With my copy it is not so. I see it but it is really not noticeable and not very pronounced. I am assuming that I got fortunate and received a copy that addressed the issue.

I looked at all kinds of Bibles for note taking and even considered having my other Bible repaired at the cost of well over $100. Sure the Cambridge top of the line margin Bible is probably superior. At over twice what I paid for this one (over $200), it should be. Cambridge has a not-quite-top-of-the-line wide margin Bible at around $40 to $60 more than this one, but I was concerned with issues raised by the user reviews and felt that it may not be worth the extra money over this one.

In all, if you want to spend around $100 for a high quality Bible, then this is one to consider.

My husband loves this Bible. He loves the margins to write in. He loves the version. He loves the feel of the book.
