Pretty good book, January 8, 2000

This review is from: Upgrading PCS (Visual QuickStart Guide) (Paperback)
I am a complete novice concerning PC Upgrading. Upgrading PCs was very enlightening to me. I liked the fact that it was concise and did not include a mind-boggling amount of information. I also liked the fact that it contained photos-- several on each page. I browsed through other books at the bookstore that had 400 or more pages and few pictures. The only thing I didn't like about the book was the inclusion of information about out-of-date interfaces, etc., though I suppose someone with an ancient computer might find them valuable. This was a great book for me, because I knew nothing about the subject. For someone with more knowledge it might be too simple, I suppose.
