4.0 out of 5 stars Uplift Seat
So far it seems to be working well. I thought it would operate a little faster than it does but I guess you wouldn't want it to propel a senior citizen from their chair. The only thing this item needs is a remote control device. The lever used to operate the seat seems to delicate to me.

2.0 out of 5 stars p100 UPEASY Power Seat
I was disapointed in the performance of this poduct. It absolutely did not provide 100% lift. About 75-80%. Also the seat is small for one that is built for up to 300 lbs. Lets face it, if your near the 250lbs and up, your bottom is much larger than the seat resulting in, hanging over the edges. It was very uncomfortable for any extended period of time. The seat is...

The seat is hard and not padded well. Also, the "recliner" type chairs it says it will work on, is not totally true. The levers that opperate the seat are on either side, but if you sit on the lift in a recliner chair the "sinking factor" hinders the use of the leavers, and makes it difficult to reach them. We found it very frustrating and were extremely disapointed! This was not worth the $ in our oppinion. It would be a huge improvement to widen the seat, add more padding and have a corded seperate remote instead of the leavers on the seat itself

3.0 out of 5 stars excellent for a small fanny, October 5, 2008

This power seat is very strong and did it's job well. However, it is built for someone slender with a small rear-end. My mom slid to the side and couldn't stay on it well. It is also not helpful for a soft surface, like a couch. The seat needs more padding as it was not comfortable to sit on for extended periods of time. Putting pillows on top was not helpful due to the slip factor when it was being raised.

Product works well as advertised but seat is very hard and uncomfortable. If you are considering purchasing, I would suggest buying a cushion also.

It's quite, it's smooth operating and you'll wear it out fast because there in no way God's green earth are you going to be able to sit in in very long. Remember those plastic molded chairs in the cafeteria's and cheesy offices? Add 2 inches of your favorite car tire then sit down and relax. Yeah buddy.... Michelin ain't got nothin' on this for a cushy ride.

It does indeed work. And it's quite too. Great gift for someone you don't really like. :)

IF you're the creative type, with a lot of work you could possibly tear apart your chair and mount it inside somehow. Or get a really low sitting chair and add at least 4 inches of foam and then make a cover for it and you could get along with it. I mean if you can't afford a lift chair this will work. For how long I have no idea. The fact remains there is a serious comfort area that's been missed in the design.

Think of a chair and how one is put together. Right before they put in the cushion they say DONE! Just a hair softer than our beloved molded chairs. Definitely overrides any comfort built into the chair its placed upon.

Also you can't use it in anything that moves... including your car. Picture one of these in your car. I'd buy a power inverter just to entertain the kids. I can see nose prints on the windshield already. You also can't use it in the pool. It'll sink like a rock for one. And it is electric. Now that would be a power lift!

Check before you buy. Some places have HUGE restocking fees. Hey, Amazon takes 15% of the income right off the bat. Then if they ship it free well when it's time to take it back all they can hope for is maybe getting some of the shipping back. And it's hefty. Can't wait to find out how much I paid just so I could write this review.

This company was nice to me. I like them. I understand their plight. So I give them a good rating. And it IS a quality built item but it's just not fit for human use is all. Okay... maybe 10 minutes for the ride. If you're having problems getting up you're likely having problems getting around. That means you'll be sitting a lot. Trust me, you won't be very happy sitting on this. No way no how.

Nice idea but has room for a LOT of "comfort" improvement. Save your money and buy a real lift chair or be prepared to make a chair around this. I could do it. Duct tape, lots of foam and one of those lovely orange cafeteria chairs I seem so fond of. It'll go well with the deep blue polyester cover that barely fits. It'll follow you around I'm sure. Like toilet paper in your shoe. Good reason to stay in bed.

Product was returned as it was not functional for the person intended who uses a wheelchair and needs something with more stability that won't tilt so easily.

5.0 out of 5 stars Preserved some degree of independence, January 25, 2011
This review is from: Uplift Technologies UPE-P100 UPEASY Power Seat (Health and Beauty)
This is more than adequate lift assist for anyone having difficulty standing in sickness or after an operation knee surgery etc. If you are older this is an excellent choice to preserve dignity and independence. Quality of build is good and comfort is good. the device can be padded and have a blanket over it to conceal a bit :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars UPEASY Power Seat, July 28, 2011
This review is from: Uplift Technologies UPE-P100 UPEASY Power Seat (Health and Beauty)
I purchased a UPE-p100 Power Seat.

I can get up by myself from my chair, which makes both by husband and myself very happy.
It is simple to use and not too difficult to put together. The only complaint I have is that I wish the seat had a little more padding.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked great., March 5, 2011

Ordered this for my 92 year old father. It worked very well for him for a couple of days but he was put on hospice care soon after. He almost slid off of it, so be sure the person using it has leg muscles to hold themselves up when in full tilt. My 82 year old mother is in good health but has scoliosis and had to pull herself up out of a recliner. She started using the lift and it was great! It slowly lifts her up and down and she's really happy with it. She's a small woman. We both thought the little plastic levers to activate the lift looked a little flimsy, but so far so good. For a heavy/large person (over 200 lb's) the levers (located on each side in front of the lift)could possibly be in their "legs" way.

I bought this for a friend that had back surgery and not only he thought it was great, but his wife who had to pull him up out of his chair, said it really helped her back.
