Use it before bed,

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I'm a knitter. And when you knit with a yarn that is all or partially synthetic fibers your hands get very dry and rough where the yarn tends to pass over your skin. Normally I use Udderly Smooth but I ran out and have been lazy about replenishing my supply. As a result, parts of my hands had become so chapped that the yarn was snagging. After having been out of hand cream for quite some time I got a 4 oz tube of this stuff. It has a nice light smell, almost like wisteria. Though it's just a bit stronger then I would like. Once you work it into your skin the smell isn't as strong and you only need a little dot for both hands anyway. Even when you work the moisturizer into your skin really well your hands will still feel a little greasy. It won't stain but it will leave fingerprints of smooth objects like glasses. I limit my use of moisturizers like this for right before I go to bed as a result. It works quite well. One application overnight was able to heal the dryness of my hands to the point that the yarn no longer snagged. After another couple of nights, the parts that were particularly chapped were almost as soft as the rest of my hands. I got this for a trial, so at the time I'm writing this there's no price listed for the two tube pack. (I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that one 4 oz. tube of Upper Canada Naturally is going to be more then one 4 oz. tube of Udderly Smooth.) The important part to remember when you look at the price (whatever it turns out to be) is that you're paying for a two pack. I'm glad I tried this, I like it. But I will likely return to using my usual brand when I run out of it. Though I'll definitely keep it in mind if I want to assemble a care package or gift basket.

Whipped Cream Dry Hand Repair Balm,
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
Reading the package and ingredients of this cream reminded me of older times, when products were simpler and more natural.I love nature and natural products and I can't stand all the chemicals in products and foods, this cream is ideal for me. I applied this to my elbows and also to a dry patch of skin on my forehead and felt relieved of dryness overnight. My hands do get dry in winter and I will surely use this cream on my hands at that time. It has a fresh, light scent that doesn't overpower. It has a whipped cream consistency as it name implies and I am very satisfied with it over all and would recommend this to anyone.

Not my favorite...,

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I LOVE lotion....body lotion, hand cream, foot cream, etc. So when I got the chance to try this one, I couldn't wait.I was a tad disappointed. I am a big fan of lotions and even hair conditioners with Avocado. I have had good luck in the past with it as a moisturizing agent. During the winter my hands can get VERY dry. I coach swimming, so not only are my hands often wet, but add the harsh chemicals to that, not to mention the dishes that I wash and the babies that I bathe, so a good, strong hand cream is essential. I liked the smell of this one...it had a light, clean scent. I have a nine month old that loves to be held, so I didn't want something too strong that would bother him, the scent of this one fit the bill. It is nice and thick as well, and here is my issue with this one. It took a minute to rub it all in, ok no big deal, but it felt quite greasy afterwards, and I didn't really like that. I live in Virginia, and we still have rather warm weather, perhaps when it is colder and my hands are cracking this lotion would come in handy, but right now I just find it too greasy to use on a daily basis.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Upper Canada Soap And Candle Naturally Whipped Hand Repair, Pressed Olive Avocado, 4-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 2) (Health and Beauty)
I received this as a test product through the Vine program. As a nurse my hands take a lot of abuse. Constant washing and Purel use take their toll. I use lots of lotions and cremes and this is my now favorite. The feel and fragrance are wonderful. When I rub this on the scent is like aroma therapy. It actually makes me feel better. Like a short trip to the tropics. There are oils in the product but is not oily feeling. It is like a hand massage. I have let several of my friends use it and they love it too. I have a problem with my finger tips splitting which is very painful. This will repair it within a day. I regularly purchase this. The price is really reasonable. I would pay more at the bath store for a similar product that does not work nearly as well. It must be a hot item as I sometimes have to wait until it becomes available.

Your average, run-of-the-mill hand cream,
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I love hand lotions - just love them. I use them all the time and have dozens of high quality varieties. My favorites are made by Perlier and Elaria. However, this brand is nothing special, and I would not purchase it at any price. The scent is fruity, almost floral, which does not fit the Pressed Olive Avocado name. The scent is actually somewhat offensive to me, leaving my hands smelling more like a tour through a cheap candle shop than after one applied a quality hand cream. The consistency is very thick, which I initially attributed to the shea butter content; however, the thick goop is greasy instead of nourishing, lingering like an uncomfortable layer on top of my skin instead of being absorbed like quality shea butter should. Also, there is no cumulative effect of repeated use as I would expect a repairing cream to produce. No repair, all grease. The product gets 2 stars only because it is "Free of parabens, mineral oils and synthetic dyes." Otherwise, I would give only one.

Nice, thick lotion,

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This lotion has worked well for me. Although it is "whipped", it is a nice and thick lotion that gives good coverage. It has helped my dry skin this fall. The smell is pleasant enough, although I do think that it begins to smell worse after being on for a couple of minutes - I think that the avocado smell begins to take over at that point.

Wonderful stuff. I've been using it daily since I got it. Everyone at work has tried it too, and it's gotten a 100% positive response. I was leary about the scent, but it's very light and quite pleasant. The consistency reminds me of the frosting you get on a professionally baked cake...not oily at all but very thick and creamy. Still, it does a great job of moisturizing and softening dry hands. This size fits well in my purse, too, so it's easy to carry along wherever.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
Overall this a decent hand moisturizer I put some on my hand about an hour ago and definitely notice a difference. I really appreciate product doesn't have an overly strong fragrance and the pleasant fragrance dissipates relatively quickly. My wife is tried it overnight and found positive results also.My one complaint is this product contains Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl Glycol. these ingredients didn't sound totally "natural" to me. Phenoxyethanolis is a organic chemical compound. I believe both of these chemicals are added to inhibit growth from bacteria and yeast, therefor they sound like preservatives to me just derived from natural compounds. If you're not hung up on "Natural" I would suggest trying some.

A bit greasy, but it works as advertised,
By
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
What I liked:The softening effect was long-lasting. It made my hand feel quite a bit less dry throughout most of the day. I have somewhat rough hands from moderate weightlifting, and it definitely took away some of the roughness. A little bit of the product goes a long way, due to its density. The lotion seems to hold up much better than most to repeated hand washings and presumably swimming and other water activities as well. What I didn't like: The scent is a bit feminine and also not a very "natural" odor as one might otherwise expect from a natural product. It did leave my hands a touch greasy, although that did subside with time. Overall, this is a good product, but there is some room for improvement, as noted.

My hands feel wonderful!,

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I work with children so I wash my hands constantly. This lotion helps to keep them from drying out. I had recent hand surgery and need to massage the scar area, this lotion provides enough lubrication to allow me to massage it as long as I need to. I love the aroma as well, it is pleasant without being overpowering. Combine these things with the fact that it is all natural - this lotion is a sure winner!
