This book reveals many items I was not aware of related to steam boats, log/lumber rafting and the delivery of materials to build the mid section of the US.
It really serves to support other books on the MN and WI logging companies of the late 1800's.
It also provides insight into the conflicts related to river users and the beginnings of water law.
Lots of photos make this a rather short read.
It is well worth having this book on my research shelf!!
