5.0 out of 5 stars Headstands to read???, May 2, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The Upside-Down Reader (Easy-to-Read Book S.) (Paperback)
The book is written by a teacher for the learning disabled. The story is original and the solution to Tim's unique reading style is smart. This book illustrates the inaction of parents concerning their children's reading. Reading upside-down is abnormal, but Tim doesn't know that. His parents, however, know that it is strange, yet they make no attempt to correct it. It is only through the intervention of Tim's visiting Grandma that Tim gets the attention he needs. Reading disorders are often misdiagnosed, therby leading to more seriou problems as school progresses.
